Unfortunate Experience at Galito’s Pickering Location I had a very disappointing experience dining at the Pickering location of Galito’s on October 4th around 9 p.m. This was my second time visiting because I previously enjoyed the food, and I brought my friends to share the same experience. We ordered the family feast and everything was good—except for the peri potatoes, which tasted raw and were not edible. I politely mentioned this to the waitress, and she informed me that food cannot be returned once it’s made. I then asked to speak with the manager, hoping for a resolution. However, the manager arrived visibly annoyed, and after I explained the situation, he quickly said “nothing can be done” without showing any professionalism or empathy. Things only escalated from there. When I mentioned the potatoes still tasted raw, he snapped, accusing me of trying to get free food and even saying, “If you don’t have the money, just say so.” He became aggressive, started yelling at us in front of other customers, and when I began recording his behavior for proof of his unprofessionalism, he took a photo of us, which felt threatening. This experience was incredibly disappointing and uncomfortable. I’ve never been treated this way at any restaurant, and I hope this behavior is addressed, as no customer should feel insulted or unsafe while dining.

Ordered the family meal. Chicken, bread sticks and all the sides were delicious. My only two complaints: The quantity of the fries is not so much. Wish there was more fries in the bag. Also, the price is a little steep, came to be $50 with tax. If this was closer to $40-$45, it would be more reasonably priced. Otherwise, delicious food, good customer service, and the place was very clean. Definitely worth trying.

My son and I enjoyed a delightful meal together. The serving sizes are quite large, and the taste was absolutely on point. If you're a Nando's lover, you have to check this place out. The dining atmosphere was superb. I will definitely be back.

Do you crave chicken but are sick of fried options? Then you need to try Galitos flame! Galitos flame specializes in a style of chicken called "Peri-Peri", this unique flavour comes out of Africa and is a deliciously tangy-spicy mix that compliments poultry so well! There are various options you can choose when getting your Peri-Peri chicken, from single pieces to full chicken platters for the whole family! Portion sizes are good and prices (except the shrimp) are fair! I definitely will add Galitos to my uber eats Playlist and you should too!

The store was very clean and furnished, the food was also ready on time and they wrote our name on the takeout bag in beautiful and fanciful hand writing. The food was great and delicious especially the garlic sticks and chicken! The employees were also very friendly. It was also very well priced.

Great Halal Restaurant! HS Halal Family owned & operated!! Food quality is amazing, portion sizes are generous. Definitely good value. Service is exceptional! I have visited the restaurants a few times & food is always delicious. Also did a catering order for a family event. Highly recommended!!! Overall a good experience!!

Really tasty and flavourful chicken. The rice was really good too! The chicken wasn’t dry and grilled properly. The coleslaw was also great. Will definitely go back. The restaurant is located right on Kingston Road so very convenient location to get to with enough parking. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite nice and it was clean. The manager came and checked on us if everything was good which was nice.

I am so happy that Galito’s finally opened in the Durham region. I ordered Whole chicken meal with peri rice and peri roasted potatoes Double shrimp skewer Garlic bread Mixed green salad The chicken was juicy and full of flavor. Sides were also good and in very good portions. Just one complaint there was no salad dressing that came with the salad. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Clean restaurant and very friendly staff.
