Amazing dinner tonight at Fujisan. First time trying and went based on previous Google reviews. Service was excellent and very friendly. Our server, Fa Fa, was lovely and super friendly. All the sushi and sashimi was very fresh and the portions were very generous! The cooked foods were also very well portioned and tasty. If you're looking for a new sushi place, definitely give Fujisan a try!

This restaurant is located at non busy district with not much other competitors. Surprisingly the quality of food exceeds some of the authentic Japanese operated restaurants. The servers are presenting what they have enthusiasticly with details. Thumbs up for the service and quality for dollars paid.

Like all the other positive reviews, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience! If you’re a sushi lover and/or enjoy Japanese food in general, you’ll love this place. Be prepared to splurge🙈. 📝For starters, the service was impeccable: from getting seated to ordering to getting our food to paying — the staff was extremely attentive. For example, my dad loves ginger, and after letting our server know, she made sure to bring out multiple plates of ginger for him throughout the course of dinner. Also, our food came out insanely fast — I think all of our orders came out within 15 minutes.😃 💲 We were slightly taken aback by the pricing when we first looked at the menu, but the portion sizes (see pics) and quality justify the pricing! However, you should be selective about what you order if you’re trying to eat good without breaking bank (see next section). We also got a look at the lunchtime menu, which has more affordable pricing. 🍣 Overall, the food was delicious: 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 (5/5) 40 pcs Sashimi $89.99 - Extremely fresh, great variety of fish/seafood, generous portion with thick cuts, and beautiful plating — what more can you ask for? 🥹 🤗🤗🤗 (3/5) Unagi Don $24.99 - Standard — nothing special: unagi is solid, but the rest of the toppings are bland. This is super filling, since they give you a lot of rice. If I’m craving eel in the future, I think I would try out the bbq eel skewer ($9.99) instead of ordering this again. 🤗🤗🤗🤗 (4/5) Fly Sky Pork (Japan Berkshire Pork) (w/ miso soup and green salad) $28.99 - Such a unique concept! 5/5 on presentation and being able to eat the ramen several different ways. The pork (pork belly(?)) was so yummy and melts in your mouth. The broth also has a great umami taste, but it tastes a little too salty after several sips. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 (5/5) Fire Salmon Loong Roll (w/ Unagi, Avocado and spicy sauce on top) $19.99 - I LOVE 🫶 This definitely hit the spot, and might be my new favorite sushi roll!! If you like aburi sushi, you are going to love this roll! It has salmon, unagi, and avocado all in one roll — super yummy. It just melts in your mouth, and the ingredients taste top notch. If I had to critique the roll, it would just be that it says there’s spicy sauce on top but I couldn’t really taste the spicy. 🤗🤗🤗🤗 (4/5) Fire Salmon Dragon Roll (w/ 2 tempura shrimp, crab meat, cucumber, avocado, and house sauce on top) $22.99 - My dad really liked this roll, although my mom and I both think that the Fire Salmon Loong Roll is better. This roll is super tasty, and each piece is MASSIVE. If you want a bit of crunch in your sushi and don’t care for unagi, then I would recommend this one over the Fire Salmon Loong Roll, but otherwise, get the Fire Salmon Loong Roll (or get both 😌).

Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The Dinner for 2 set menu has enough food to serve a family of 4 IMO. Their Chirashi Don was delicious, but I wish their sushi rice would be a bit softer. They are generous with the sashimi - large and thick slices. They have beautiful decor and amazing service. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Came here for a late lunch on our afternoon outing today. It was not rush hour lunch so, we were seated immediately. We ordered the chirashi and a garlic fried chicken for lunch. The food came with a salad, miso soup and some seasoned cucumber paired with seaweed salad. The starters were delicious and loved the garlicky chicken. The quality of the fish is very fresh and we loved the furikake topping on the sushi rice. The portions are also very generous and service is very good. Husband commented that this is so far his favorite Japanese restaurant in the Markham area. Store front is tucked away in downtown Markham so, we did not even know that there's this wonderful Japanese eatery here. Would definitely be visiting again when we are in town.

We tried Fujisan Japanese Restaurant on a Monday evening and it was quite busy. We ordered the Fujisan Dinner for two which came with salad, miso soup, shrimp and veggie tempura, chicken teriyaki don, fly sky salmon ramen and a mixed platter consisting of sushi, sashimi, salmon and avocado roll and fire dragon roll. There was also dessert which was either chocolate pudding or ice cream (green tea or mango). Food was ok but nothing special. I preferred their sushi and sashimi over their other dishes. I liked how their sashimi was fresh tasting. Their other dishes were more fusion style rather than traditional. Personally, I felt that the tempura batter was a bit too thick for me. However, the food portion size here is very generous and the staff here are also very attentive.

If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, this Japanese restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted by warm, attentive service and a soothing, authentic atmosphere that transports you straight to Japan. The menu is diverse, featuring a wide array of traditional dishes, each expertly crafted with the freshest ingredients. The sushi is a standout – the fish is incredibly fresh, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and paired perfectly with just the right amount of rice. The sashimi is equally impressive, sliced to perfection and showcasing the natural flavors of each fish. For those seeking something more adventurous, the tempura is crispy yet light, and the ramen is rich, with a deep umami flavor that warms you from the inside out. What sets this place apart, though, is the attention to detail. The presentation of each dish is a work of art, and the flavors are always balanced, never overpowering. You can tell the chefs put a lot of care into each meal, from the carefully sourced ingredients to the intricate preparation techniques. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or new to Japanese cuisine, this restaurant offers something for everyone. The atmosphere, service, and food come together to create an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Good food and service. The dining room is comfortable enough and clean, though nothing special. We ordered four very different dishes, all with its own character. The sky fly ramen was most interesting - one bowl of ramen with four ways of eating it! 👍 The BBQ beef box could have been better if the rice were Japanese rice.
