I had the pleasure of working with El Gourmet for a recent special event, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very start, Tamara and Maya were incredibly helpful and professional, guiding me through the planning, preparation, and delivery process with care and attention to detail. A special shoutout to Tamara for going above and beyond to ensure every aspect was perfect. She was always available to answer questions, provide suggestions, and accommodate every request with such grace and expertise. The execution on the day of the event was flawless, thanks to her hard work and dedication. The serving staff, particularly Dareen, were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and professional. They ensured that everything ran smoothly and made the evening even more enjoyable for everyone. The food was a massive hit! All our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the delicious flavors and the beautiful presentation. El Gourmet truly exceeded our expectations in every way. And on top of it all, their pricing was very reasonable for the outstanding quality and service we received. Thank you, El Gourmet, for making our event so memorable! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional catering and service.

A supermarket with a restaurant. A fabulous business concept. What makes it unique is its cleanliness, food and customer service. I felt nostalgic as I listened to their beautiful Lebanese music. The lady that serviced us was Itab (3itab) a Syrian lady that came to Canada seeking a better life for her kids. Her customer service was amazing! I watched her service other clients as well, and her smile and friendly manners makes clients feel at ease and willing to explore the many products that the market has. She’s very comfortable explaining their menu and giving recommendations to clients. The Atmosphere of the place is OK just because it’s a mix of market and restaurant makes it get too crowded at times. I do recommend El Gourmet if you are in the Pickering area. Their good food and compatible prices makes it a go to market place with a restaurant.

El Gourmet Is now my favorite place to get a good Cappuccino, hands down the best flavour I've had. Went with my Bestie and we tried a Walnut cookie, pistachio cookie, another fruit filled cookie & a strawberry tart. The cream in the tart was nice and fresh, Strawberries were sweet as well. Friend ended up buying some pies from the Bakery counter to take home with some other items from the market. Nice friendly staff & atmosphere to enjoy a meal with friends or take home a meal.

Decided to try something new today based off recommendations from Durham Region eats… So glad we did. I ordered a mixed Shawarma with Extra turnip. My wife ordered chicken Shawarma. We also decided to get some desserts. Customer service was top-notch With a very welcoming environment. Food was super fresh and unbelievably delicious. We will definitely be coming back again. A++++++

This new Lebanese supermarket offers a visually appealing shopping experience with its modern aesthetics. However, when it comes to product variety, it falls short compared to established chains like Adonis. While the store's overall appearance is impressive, the selection of goods could be more extensive. We were particularly disappointed with the spinach feta cheese pies. The quality and flavor left much to be desired. On the brighter side, the chicken shawarma was a satisfying choice, offering decent taste. While the store itself is pleasant and well-maintained, a minor incident involving two staff members arguing in Arabic behind the kitchen counter was a negative point. It created a somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere. Overall, this new Lebanese supermarket has potential but needs to improve its product variety and address customer service issues to truly stand out in the competitive market.

Clean and well maintained place! It’s a small super market which is very well organized with a butcher bar and dine in/takeout. We tried their mix grill platter, food was fresh with authentic flavours. I can definitely say that they know how to work with meat! Everything was super tender and not overly cooked. Hummus was creamy and tabouli was freshly made.

Food is good, clean and they take a lot of care in preparation. Shawarma sandwiches are done properly with right amount of ingredients and beef done to perfection. Their falafel is excellent with crispy outside and soft inside I will give is 8 out of 10. Staff were very nice and pleasant and staff stop by few times to chat with us. The owner was kind and present us with free salad bowls one of his new creations. In addition they have groceries shelves stuff with a lot of mid eastern good and a butcher counter. Overall was an excellent experience.
