Edgewater Manor Restaurant

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. The grounds and views are beautiful. From the second you walk in until you leave the staff give you the best experience ever and take care of every need. Every dish we ordered was so flavorful and spectacular, appetizer through dessert. And the steak was better than most I've had at steakhouses. I can't wait to come back.

This is one of my favorite dining places in all of Canada! The view of the lake, food, and service were all amazing! The ambience is beautiful and the manor is situated at a really scenic spot. The only thing that didn’t work right was that the ladies bathroom didn’t seem to have hand soap, and parts of the interior could be upgraded. Otherwise, it was great. I highly recommend this.

I was recommended this place as very fancy and expensive, where even children don’t go. So, I went there to celebrate my wedding anniversary, and I took my son with me. Here are my impressions: the place is overrated. Yes, it's in a good location by the lake, but the restaurant itself is in an old building, and you can feel that age everywhere. The floors are worn out, and the furniture seems heavily used as well. The restaurant was almost empty, which didn’t make it cozy at all; you sit in the middle of the hall like a fish in an aquarium. The music was too quiet, almost not adding to the atmosphere — it was too silent, uncomfortably silent. The food and service were good, though. But I probably wouldn’t want to return to this place.

Edgewater was the perfect place to have our wedding ceremony and reception. After visiting a lot of venues, Edgewater was the first really good vibe that we got right from the start. Bastiaan was great to work with in the planning stages - very helpful and knowledgeable, without ever making us feel pressured into a decision. Because the venue is privately owned and not under a larger events corporation, a lot of customization to our package and personal accommodations were available through Peter which was amazing. We had several guests say that not only was dinner the best they'd had at any wedding, but the best meal they'd EVER had! This came from a vegan and dairy-free friend too, so they are also great with dietary accommodations. Staff was very kind and into having a good time which we loved. Cannot wait to go back to Edgewater as a special place for our anniversaries :)

The atmosphere was magical, loved the decor, Lakeview so tons of photo opportunities while you're there. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The price was a little high for the proportion, we got the filet mignon. The French onion soup was delicious and very high quality. The bread starter came with a delicious butter and red pepper paste spread which was unique.

Had my moms 65th bday with 14 guests - picked a set menu with some upgrades +add ons and we totally enjoyed ourselves! Highly recommend menu E upgrade pasta to sacchetti and add truffle fries for the table. We had some celiac/diet restrictions and everything worked out great for them also. David was our server and he was very polite attentive and helpful. Thank you for the great service! Peter helped plan the event with me and was very patient and helpful.
