Down the Street Food co.

Went for New Years Day brunch. Despite them being short staffed (it was New Years day, they figured it would be quiet. They were wrong!) the food was delicious and the service super friendly. Definitely a bit of a hidden gem that we'll be going back to soon.

House Benny was the reason for my visit, really enjoyed the eggs with Yorkshire pudding. Service was a four star because our server could have been more attentive. Definitely will return, everyone enjoyed the food.

We finally stopped in for breakfast during the week. We ordered the Eggs Benny and the Corned Beef hash. Wow.... our breakfast was delicious! The hollandaise sauce on the Benny was THE BEST I've ever had (made from scratch). I made a joke that he should sell it by the jar (actually, I wasn't joking!!😉) The coffee was strong. Very friendly staff!! We were so impressed and will be back and not just for breakfast!!! Great place!

What a great find today for my Lady and I to have a morning date out. We wanted to have a great small town diner breakfast experience, and this wonderful spot didn't disappoint! Great atmosphere, great service, great food & portions with a wonderful presentation, and at great pricing, too. Their menu has such variety which is nice to see as well. Highly recommend you try Down The Street Food Co.

We heard good things about this establishment, especially pertaining to their breakfasts. We visited on 09/26/2024 around 10:00 A.M. My wife ordered the 2 eggs (sunny side up) with peameal bacon & brown buttered toast with the seasoned home fries (with skins on them. I ordered the 2 eggs (sunny side up) with nicely cut lean bacon strips with the seasoned home fries and brown toast with real butter on the side for one to butter their own toast. The coffees served was freshly brewed and very strong flavour. Server/waitress was very friendly and accommodating while serving us. Overall the meal was very enjoyable and restaurant is relatively small, but has a nice ambiance (many cameras situated throughout the premises). Plenty of street parking at this time (metre) in the morning. Only con, could have used a side of jam on the table (just a suggestion).

Another of Ottawa Street's great places to dine. I'm embarrassed to say that this is our first visit to Down the Street and regret that it took so long. Having finally made it for Sunday breakfast, we had a great first impression. I had peeked at the menu online beforehand and, being a sucker for Eggs Benedict, had already decided on that. Of the two options, the House Benny was a no-brainer. Yorkshire pudding instead of English muffin and smoked salmon as well? Yes, please. Coffee refill? But of course, thank you. Fast friendly service, delicious food! Down the Street is a terrific local business to support. I was tempted by several items on the breakfast menu (next time), but the House Benny was a perfect choice. Dining out can be expensive, so it's important to get value when you do.
