I ordered the gyozas, and when I got them they were not what I was expecting. They were sautéed not deep fried, and when I got them they were soggy and dripping oil. I still tried to give it a chance and taste it, but I took a bite and had to spit it out. The filling was not great either.

The food is actually nasty! The sweet and sour soup was not edible, and not the correct flavour profile at all. Too much pepper and cardamom!! The pork noodles did not smell good. The actual pork had a weird smell. The only “okay” thing we had was the sweet and sour chicken balls. Definite let down and not worth the money.

We have ordered from this restaurant many times and are happier every single time, we love love Egg Foo Young, theirs is the best, amazing General Tao chicken, all chicken, hardly any batter, best wings ever! My husband loves the Won Ton Soup, we have tried many restaurants since settling 7 years ago in Innisfil, nothing compares and imagine, the food is hot when delivered 😊🙏🤬❤️

"Absolutely fantastic experience at Donly Kitchen Chinese Restaurant in South Barrie! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was welcoming and authentically decorated. The food was delightful and full of flavor – my dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The Beef with Vegatables on Rice particular standouts. Service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall excellent dining experience. A true gem for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine. Definitely deserving of a five-star rating!"

I was hoping so much that this would be a good eats. But sadly not. I ordered the Mushroom Eggdrop Soup, Szechuan Chicken, Tofu Terriyaki with Rice. Eggdrop Soup = Lacking in seasoning and flavour, seems like they just dropped mushrooms in water waited for it to cook then added egg. Teriyaki Tofu = Some Flavour, I'm not sure why this dish is so runny and watered down at the bottom. When I think of teriyaki I think of thicker consistency. Veggies were underseasoned. Szechuan Chicken = The most disappointing of all. When I see Szechuan Chicken I did not picture watery Chicken breast with broccoli. The chicken doesn't even have any colour on it. It lacked in seasoning and proper spice. Overall I have to say this was not worth the $30. I'll be trying again in a few months.

Good comfort food, easy to order and affordable. What more can you ask of a place still offering $6.99 lunch specials? Huge portions and honestly. I'm gonna try everything on their menu. Friendly staff to boot!
