District Kitchen + Bar

Did New Year’s there. Food was decent. Service great. My biggest complaint was the mixed drinks. They offered the basic ones. I ordered a double Rum and Coke. I make them at home for myself and guests so I know how they should taste. Either there coke fountain was not working or they watered down the booze. Worst drink I’ve ever had. I tried very hard to taste the rum. It was some kind of alcohol not sure what. The pop had no real flavour. My wife had a gin and tonic and same thing. Hard to describe. Do bars still water down booze to save money. I guess they do. Stick with bottled beer if you go there. Very disappointed.

Not a family member or worker here. My husband and I have come a few times for the fish and chips and honestly, it delivers everytime. Went on a Friday and had lovely serenity as out waiter (super sweet). We got the halibut and it was really nice, fluffy and not soggy at all. Highly recommend to go during lunch/afternoon time since it's not too busy.

No question the positive comments have to be staff and family of the owner. The food is deplorable and the cost is expensive for this low level of food. Tasted like frozen out of a box, just terrible. We got the fish and chips which was terrible. The fish was slimy and minuscule with heavy greasy batter covering it. Gross. Also got a burger which was overcooked with a pathetic looking tiny patty. My Guinness was even flat!! Ps; had to ask the waitress to wipe the sticky table. Never ever again. Only think i could say in a positive light was that the kid who served us was polite.

The place is comfy and nicely decorated. The service was very good and courteous. We really enjoyed our platters; tried the steak salad and chicken avocado wrap, both of which were tasty generous in portion. I recommend this place.

5 stars across the board! I never leave reviews, I only read them. But this Fish'n'Chips I had for lunch on a Friday afternoon was so amazing. It was too good not to leave a review. Best fish in Burlington. I've been in the area for over 5 years and have never had fish this good anywhere in the GTHA!! Definitely will be returning for Fish Fry Friday's! Great price and great portion.

A must-have experience! We came here for our first visit on a Friday night and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, but the highlight was the staff. The GM, Paul, was welcoming, and Ali was the perfect server. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a fun time. The night was so good that we decided to come back the following night. Sometimes the sequel can disappoint, but not here. It was a lively night and the wings were perfect! Neil deserves a shout out for being personable and having great recommendations. 5 stars all around! Come here twice and say you won't come back a third time.

When I recently visited District Kitchen I was looking for a good restaurant for a lunch break and came across this from a relative who went before. When we went, there was a good selection of handhelds, pub style entrees and more. There’s a selection of tv’s and they have a board for contests such as squares for the Super Bowl etc. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger and it had a good mix of tastes with the small onion rings on top and the fries were done well. If I would make any changes, I might want a bit more flavours but the food was decent.
