Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill

Tasty, price was good. BBQ chicken was good. Fries were cold but still crispy House red wine was delicious Cabernet Sauvignon. Steaks cooked perfectly medium rare. I notice your spelling of Caesar salad is wrong. 😁. Please check! A little noisy but a fun atmosphere.

Service is excruciatingly slow. Food is akin to a truck stop diner grease pit. Prices are fairly low, but so is the quality of the meals. I am stunned when I read the 5 star reviews touting the eats at this roadhouse as "amazing", "fantastic" etc. Good luck trying to find a healthy entree on the menu. For the same price, you can get at least a moderately edible meal at places like East Side Mario's.

Where do I begin? First off, the bathrooms were filthy and lacked both toilet paper and paper towels. Then our server took our drink order and left, even though we told her we were ready to order food. We didn’t see her for so long that other servers started to ask us if we needed anything. Eventually we got our drinks and put in our food order, only to be left waiting again. So long that other servers again asked us if we needed anything while we waited. Our server then returned to say she was going to check on our food and again disappeared for a very long time, never letting us know what the delay was. During this time, other people arrived after us, ordered and ate full meals. Finally we asked one of the other servers (as ours was nowhere in sight) to speak to the manager. He did eventually come with our appetizer. He tried to blame it on the fact that they had a large party at a nearby table. They did in fact have a large party, but these people had all been served their food before we arrived, and our server wasn’t helping them at any rate. Keep in mind this was at around 2:30-3pm, so not peak restaurant time either. When we told the manager others who arrived after us had already eaten and left, only then did he admit the server had never put in our order. He said he’d “take care of us.” We assumed he was going to take over serving us but instead we endured the awkwardness of having the same server, who clearly didn’t want to continue serving us. For compensation we were told we’d be getting ice cream, something we didn’t actually want, so we turned it down. Instead, our server gave us “Chuck Bucks” worth $20, which was satisfactory. We never saw the manager again though, which I would think he would’ve come back to see if we were happy with the food we eventually got and the compensation. Needless to say, we didn’t tip our server. Our only regret being that we weren’t able to tip the young lady who did in fact help us when our server was MIA. We also saw another table that our server was assigned to tell our server to thank the other young lady for them as she had been the one to help them. We are not the type to complain, or ask to speak to a manager, or even write reviews like this one, but in this case we thought it best to warn others that the service here is terrible, and the food isn’t good enough to justify putting yourself through that. Go next door to Turtle Jack’s instead.

I visited this Chuck's location for the first time last Friday evening with my husband and a large group of friends. I was truly impressed by the excellent experience we had! Our group was quickly accommodated by combining a few tables, and our bartender/server, Lucas, was exceptional. He efficiently handled our food and drink orders, even with such a large group, which left us all very impressed. While this restaurant is smaller than other Chuck's locations the atmosphere is incredibly inviting. The music was at a perfect volume, making it a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing environment . Our server was Jaclyn super friendly awesome server great personality and good sense humor hopefully get her again for a server next time we come again . Tasty food flavorful steak , ribs cooked prefect and nice and tasty highly recommend 140 centennial in hamilton

The Yukon Cookie Crumble dessert was delicious 😋 The spin dip was great tasting...but there weren't enough pitas to dip....we had an excessive amount of dip left with nothing to put in it 😢 My main was Buffalo Chicken fingers accompanied with fries. They were cold for some reason (both the fingers and fries). I also didn't care for the sauce on the chicken...it wasn't a typical buffalo sauce 😢 Disappointed as this is a go-to order for me at a bar-type restaurant....the feel of wings but no bones. Would NOT recommend this choice and would NOT order it again. His main was the Philly cheesesteak and he liked it, but also didn't like the sauce it came with. He would order it again but stick to gravy on the side and omit the sauce it came with. Atmosphere....it's your typical bar-type...the only thing is the sun was blinding as it came through the windows. We noticed several customers asked to move booths for this reason. Also, very noisy which made it hard for us to hear each other. We're old fashioned and actually like chatting to each other over our meal so we'd probably gravitate to a quieter/cozier spot next meal out. We had to wait a while...as no one came to greet or seat us...I called out to the staffer "do we sit ourselves" and she told us to pick where we wanted. She then apologized and thanked us for waiting which I thought was really great customer service. Our servers were fairly good too...I just don't particularly like a "team approach"example...one sat us, a different one took our order, a different one brought our drinks, then another one brought the food. I prefer one attentive server throughout the meal.

Had a really awesome family dinner at Chucks. Absolutely smashing meat dishes.. the beef and chicken were cooked to perfection. Our parents absolutely loved fish and chips. However, we didn't anticipate the large portion sizes we are not used to such large portions. Overall, the place had great vibes and food😊🫶🏼

My Fiance and I came here for our Anniversary dinner and had a wonderful dining experience. The staff here was very attentive and knowledgeable about the foods on the menu, the restaurant was clean, and pretty busy. We had to wait 30 minutes or so to get our food but it was well worth the wait. We ordered 2 T-Bone steak dinners, which the steak was done and seasoned perfectly soooo tasty, the ceasar salad was very good the dressing was awesome. We also ordered wings which were honey garlic and tasted amazing the size of the wings were great too! Their gravy is very tasty and fries were nice and crispy and potatoes mashed very nicely. Also we had sautéed mushrooms and they came on the side seasoned and were excellent. The owner came and gave us some ice cream for dessert because it was our anniversary he is very pleasant and came to our table a few times asking how the meal is. The atmosphere here was very inviting. I would highly recommend eating at this establishment.
