Caribbean Heat

This is my go to place for ordering Chinese Guyanese food! The staff is always so welcoming, Jimmy and Sophia are true definitely of Customer Service. The food is amazing and the quality is top notch. Their lunch specials are filling and enough to feed two people! Their hot and spicy calamari is another must have! I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Keep up the awesome work!

My top favourite place to go for west Indian Chinese food. This is the perfect place to get drinks and food. The food is excellent, especially the crab cheese wontons. The prices are amazing and portions are very big. The service is top notch. Sophia, one of the waiters there, is one of the hardest working employees I've ever seen. Always ready to serve and always alert when it comes to serving tables. I would highly definitely recommend checking this place out.

Jimmy and his team consistently deliver outstanding service that makes every visit a memorable one. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with warm smiles, prompt attention, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family. The food here is absolutely incredible. Whether it's the Caribbean Heat Salted Fish & Chicken Fried Rice or their calamari and pepper squid, the dishes are always cooked to perfection, packed with authentic Caribbean flavors, and have that signature heat that I crave! The seafood, in particular, stands out. The Spicy Garlic & Ginger Green Onion Lobster is hands-down one of my favorite dishes—succulent, fresh, and full of bold flavors. What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail and the passion you can see from Jimmy and his staff. No matter how busy it gets, they make sure to check in, offer recommendations, and ensure everything is up to the highest standard. Jimmy truly cares about his customers, and it shows in every dish that comes out of the kitchen and in the friendly service his team provides. I’m confused as I’m seeing all these great reviews and I’m wondering if maybe what we got was a one off? The duck is … pass on it. The chicken wontons were odd and felt like it was just uncooked chicken fat (juicy but didn’t even come with sauce??). But the fried rice that came with the chicken was yummy! happy not everything was bad. Pictures in the store don’t really resemble the food.

I was passing by one day, and decided to try this place out. I’ve only been in Pickering a few months so I’m slowly figuring out all the great eateries. When I went inside, it was busy. Always a good sign. There were lots of people dining and lots more getting takeout like myself. They even have a catering menu that I will be taking advantage of, one day. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to eat, when I stumbled upon the “Alex” chicken. When I asked about it, I was advised that it’s more spicy than the chili chicken. I decided to test it out and BOYYYYYYY was it hot! It was also very tasty. 10/10, will return again.

First time visiting this place. Food portions were very generous. Price was reasonable and felt great considering how large the portions were. Everything was delicious, Spicy rice was a bit too spicy but that's alright. Calamari was delicious as well as the Chilli Chicken. Will definitely be coming back!

The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Our waitress was so polite and as a bonus, we didn't have to wait long for our food. I highly recommend the Alex chicken. It was so tender and flavorful. My husband got the sweet and sour chicken and loved it. I will definitely be back and will use them for catering.
