Cabin

The CABIN Café at the McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinburg was a delightful discovery during our visit. After exploring the gallery, sitting down to a meal here felt like the perfect way to wrap up the experience. The menu offers a mix of comfort food and creative dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. Their Cabin Cheeseburger burger with crispy kettle chips was flavorful and satisfying, and the smoked trout toast stood out as a personal favorite with its fresh and vibrant taste. Another highlight was the truffled grilled cheese was indulgent, paired beautifully with curried ketchup and pesto sauces, while the pictured avocado toast with a side of crisp salad was equally enjoyable. On another earlier visit, I tried the Tuna Nicoise Salad, a refreshing and light option, while my companion had the Chopped kale, cabbage, Beet Hummus salad, which was crisp and flavorful. To top it off, a cappuccino paired with a slice of chocolate XO cake made for a satisfying late-afternoon treat. The café's welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and stunning views from the picture windows added to the charm. Whether you're hungry after a gallery tour or just in the area, the CABIN Café is a must-visit!

It looks like a cafeteria but the food is just awesome. I am so glad that we decided to try Cabin out. Highly recommend you try it. It was worth the short wait for a table.

We were visiting the McMichael Art Collection so decided to stop by the restaurant for a bite before. We got the hamburger plus avocado toast. The hamburger was decent - good portion size and decent flavor. The avocado toast was underwhelming as the toast tasted cheap, was not toasted properly and there avocado on top did not have a lot of flavor. We did stop by the dessert bar afterwards and those were definitely better

The hostess was very accommodating, finding us some seats even though a number of parties had already reserved tables. The food was good, all four of us commented that it was beyond our expectations. Thanks for a great meal!

I and two others had lunch at Cabin. We each chose a different menu pick and all meals were delicious and artfully presented. Service was excellent. Payment cash or debit, not credit card.

We were lucky to be seated promptly. They do fill up quickly. We have the kids meal hamburger, chicken fingers and both had a side of fries. The hamburger was disappointing. Would not recommend the flavor was not there and the bun was not that great. The chicken tender I would recommend. Well seasoned and crispy. Fries were good. I thank our server who recommended the piripiri chicken. Wow. Presentation was nice and flavor were spot on. Would highly recommend this dish.

Coffee and smashed avocado toast were delicious, but pricey. The pastry was very dry. The service is inconsistent; initially rushed, then when you needed them, you're left waiting for for over 10 minutes despite half-empty tables. However, the atmosphere makes it worth considering a return visit.

I came here to see tom thomson art exhibit that was put up by mcmichael art gallery. After seeing the art we went to get lunch at the cafe. I ordered cabin burger and a cola to drink. It tasted great and the potato chips were good too. A great way to close off the visit, although we took a stroll through a nearby park as well.
