Belsito Trattoria

There’s a reason why this place is always booked. The food and the vibe are awesome, but what I cannot speak highly enough of is the service. The staff here really goes out of the way to get to know you, and they treat you like family. We have Martino as a server almost every time we go, and he is remarkable. If you’ve never been here, you have to check it out. It’s a great restaurant to dine at.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the main course portions were generous—definitely enough to satisfy. The service was fantastic; everyone was super friendly and attentive. It is a bit on the pricey side, but honestly, it’s totally worth it for the quality. The only drawback was that the dessert portions were a bit on the small side. Overall, a lovely fine dining experience that has a casual vibe.

Had a lovely meal here. Tried their short rib ragu, lamb chops, and seafood appetizers. Portions were excellent and food tasted great. If something could be improved it would be the ragu. Could use a little acidity to round out the richness of the sauce. Service was prompt and wonderful. Will be back to try some more of their dishes.

Lovely little restaurant in Kleinburg. Was so excited to try the Linguine frutti di mare that’s wrapped in pizza dough and I’d say it’s an absolute must have dish if you happen to come here. It’s soupy, aromatic and fresh. The gnocchi alla genovese however was a little too oily for our liking. Sauce to gnocchi ratio just wasn’t right. Service was awesome and atmosphere was comfortable and trendy. Would definitely recommend for a celebration or fancy date night!

Went there with a big group on a weekday night. The arugula salad was excellent! I also enjoyed cif e ciaf. The rabbit meat was tender and could be easily broke apart with forks. Taste of the mushrooms was delicious. However, their specialty fish, red snapper, was not as impressive compared to their other two dishes. Our server was quite friendly and responded promptly to our requests. The ambiance was a bit loud but very nice if you’re looking for an authentic Italian place.

This was my first visit to this wonderful restaurant which definitely will not be my last. I had the amazing lamb spedini for appetizer and then the wonderful cod dish with potatoes heirloom carrots asparagus and olives in the most wonderful tomato sauce I've ever had. My compliments to the chef Adriano and to the staff for their wonderful service. This place is a gem and a must try. Well done team. See you next time. My sister loved the pizza and radicchio endive salad!

Updating our review… Our second visit was a touch different from our first visit. The food continued to be spectacular with every plate carefully and exquisitely prepared and plated. The ambience however was much different this time around. There was a very large group on the other side of the restaurant which was not very loud. However, the children of the group decided to use the restaurant as a race track and were constantly running and screaming through the area, where we were dining. It came to the point where we could not even hear ourselves speaking to each other, and the children began to, run right into our table. The wait staff and house staff did nothing to prevent this from happening. Finally, one of the older children reported to the parents, and the children were retrieved for the time being, only to start again. This actually really impacted our enjoyment of our afternoon. The staff however, served us beautifully, and our server was incredible. I just wish that our party of 7 had a peaceful time to talk without being interrupted by screaming, running and intruding children. The noise level from the screaming and running was evident. The parents of course also play a role, but assistance from the staff to ensure a pleasant experience for all diners would have been great. ********* FIRST VISIT Beautiful place in the heart of Kleinburg. The wait staff was attentive and wonderful and the menu had a wide variety of choices. The ambience in the trattoria was calm, classy and elegant. Although it was pretty full when we were dining (noon on a Saturday) the volume in the restaurant was pretty good and my group was able to chat easily without having to strain to hear. The meal was on par and we’ve already started planning our return visit meals. My favourite was the dessert with a delectable crème brûlée. Thank you Belsito for a lovely afternoon lunch!
