B'Spoke Kitchen + Market

EDIT- I have emailed the owner and so has my friend and we still have not received a response … I recently had one of the most disappointing dining experiences at B’spoke. What should have been a pleasant meal was completely overshadowed by the behavior of our waitress “Dani”, who was shockingly rude and unprofessional from the moment we were seated. First, she greeted us with a dismissive attitude and barely acknowledged our presence. Throughout the meal, she made no effort to check on us or refill our drinks, and any requests we made were met with visible annoyance. Randomly another server started serving us who was extremely nice and when I asked if she was our new server she said yes, then our original server returned with hostility regarding the fact we placed more drink orders with another waitress and thats why our bills weren’t right as if we did something wrong? The tipping point (pun intended) came at the end of the meal. She became confrontational about the tip, aggressively implying we should leave more—even though her service didn’t merit it. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. She came up to the table when I asked the other server for her name and said “ if you guys have a concern regarding your payment issues or whatever is going on, I can give you my managers card it’s absolutely no problem at all for me” with EXTREME attitude and sarcasm to the point I was shaking out of uncomfortably. Overall, the food might have been decent (when it finally arrived), but the service was so appalling that I would never return. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect basic courtesy and professionalism, neither of which we received. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant unless you’re prepared to endure a similarly unpleasant experience.

We had a wonderful time at our wedding anniversary, an unexpected lunch turned into a special occasion. The drink (spicy margarita) was perfect, and we were in awe of their dessert too. Service was easy and friendly

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was really inviting, and the service was fantastic. We shared the de-constructed dragon roll, the truffle Perogies, and the feta /sweet potato dip. The flavours were incredible!

The food was incredible (especially the King mushroom and Kale bruschetta appetizer) and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We stopped in for a late lunch break while on our way driving back to Sudbury. The restaurant decor and colour palate has a speakeasy type feel which is quite beautiful. The servers were very friendly and accommodating with substitutions. There are various menus to look at providing options for everyone. I ordered the buddha bowl as I wanted something hearty and filling and this bowl didn’t disappoint. The textures and flavours complimented nicely.

Yum yum vegan grub! I hauled a Brined Tofu Buddha Bowl with some Cauliflower bites for lunch which was super tasty, great flavors from wholesome ingredients and a pleasant experience for sure. My only complaint is that the portions seem very stingy based on price and although knockout delicious, didn't feel any reasonable value for money here. Support local businesses!

Very cool place. The menu is really cool with the different styles it does offer. It keeps each style small enough that they all maintain quality which is a great thing. From our many visits here there is always something for everyone to try even with dietary restrictions. And the seasonal cocktail selections are always so so good.

Such a unique and gorgeous little spot right downtown. B'Spoke is across from City Hall (Barrie) in the perfect location... slightly off the beaten path off the downtown strip. Very quaint and trendy, with a hip crowd, this place checks all of the boxes. Run as a "market" style restaurant, there are several menus to choose from. Initially, this seemed a bit awkward, but seeing as myself and my group of three all ordered off different menus, apparently it works! (See menus in photos) Their food was incredible. We all said we would be back to try EVERYTHING else. Their drink menu and specialty drinks were like nothing I've ever tasted. That foam you see on top of my special cold coffee was like mousse, in texture. Thick and delicious. Very strong and classy with flavour to match. This restaurant is HUGELY deserving of all accolades. Definitely a different concept, which is extremely refreshing and I'm extremely glad to have tried it. I've already got plans on my calendar to meet friends there. It's a perfect spot for all outings.
