Big M Drive In

Big M Drive-In in Pickering is a great place! Tried it for the first time, and the food quantity and quality were awesome. It’s so clean, the food’s tasty, and the employees are super friendly. I got the grilled chicken on a Kaiser bun with onion rings. The onion rings were big and thick, though I probably wouldn’t get them next time. But I’ll definitely be back for the grilled chicken burger!

The poutine is a must try. I called 15min before arriving and placed an order and it was ready on time. The gentlemen on the phone was honest about the poutine size and did not try to upsell me. Would definitely go back and recommend to my friends and family.

The chicken souvlaki was so good! Very well portioned and great flavours! The onion rings however were huge and unfortunately was too much batter/doughy, felt like i was eating funnel cakes lol.

Was curious to try Big M because of the high ratings. Came by on a weekend and it was super busy. We got 2 steak sandwiches, fries, fish and chips, and milkshakes. The steaks were cooked really well in my opinion, about 1/2' thick, medium rare (as requested), tender, and cut just right. The whole sandwich is about the size of a Whopper so a bit bigger than your average burger. Sadly it didn't taste like it looked. Very bland and seemed like had no seasoning at all. Little bit of salt and pepper would've done wonders. I don't know if it's always like that or perhaps maybe because they were busy. The steak sandwiches were $16.50 each + .50c per topping which for the taste, seems overpriced. The fries were overcooked and hard. :-( Again, not sure if it's typically like that or perhaps we stumbled in on a not-so-good day. The fish were alright, like the frozen fish fillet we get from Costco. Milkshakes were great! For 3 people, we spent about $84 NOT including taxes. I would hesitate to buy from here again but glad we tried it (although my wallet will disagree LOL). The service was fast considering there was a long lineup. Total wait time for food was about 12 mins.

Always friendly, always fresh, and honestly this time I came back for the 30th time in my life for just the onion rings. I mean, the burgers are always top notch, but I was craving rings today 🤷🏻‍♂️ Apparently they have a supplier that drops a fresh batch off for the day every morning? I love that. They’re incredible and I love supporting local. The more I was eating them and thinking about it. I’ve had rings, but not really like these - in the best kind of way! 🤔 Keep it up ❤️

They have the best burgers,onion rings and fries around. Food is always hot and well made and the staff are very friendly. We’ve been coming here to eat since the 1970s and they have always been great. Best food for Durham region

Well this place is simply awesome to say the least and I can’t believe it’s taken me this many years to discover it. Great location and set up, the service was awesome and the food was phenomenal. It was a tad pricey for a Burger joint but the portions were big and the quality was on point so it’s justifiable. Quite possibly one of my favourite burgers around now and the onion rings were amazing too. I’ll definitely be returning again some day to try out some of their other items whenever I take a visit out those ways and I’d highly recommend you give them a try as well if you haven’t already 👌🏼
