Big Bone BBQ

Went in for my Birthday dinner and as always was not disappointed. Staff was top notch and food was delicious and so filling (I couldn't finish to all). Would 110% recommend this place and will be back again

It's not award winning BBQ by any stretch, but it's a decent option in the Newmarket/Aurora area; I guess really due to the limited competition in this space. Smoke flavour is mostly limited. The brisket is 'pulled' instead of sliced. I wouldn't even call that brisket. It's pulled beef. Beans and coleslaw are very basic with no unique twist. Beans just taste like canned Bush's beans. Fries are not fresh cut. They are basically Costco fries. The gravy is admittedly tasty and makes the fries more palatable, but the gravy is far from being homemade. Cornbread is good but ultimately unremarkable; same as slaw and beans. The more I write in this review the less impressed I am looking back. I think this place could go up a star on food if they thought outside the very basics of BBQ. Service was great, but the place inside is kind of like the food... middle of the road. Would love to come back and try it again if they want to up their game a bit. Just lost a star for establishment response to my review. Learn how to take constructive criticism. Can you defend any of the points I made? No you can’t. Get a bit creative and make a product with some personality. The BBQ itself is pretty good but the effort in the accompanying items is abysmal.

First time at Big Bone BBQ and it was Great. The food was fresh and delicious. I loved my ribs and wings. The mini combo is filling and a must try !

Food is really good, small BBQ restaurant packs with big flavors. Got Elvis combo for lunch and can easily feed 2 person. I think I just found my go to for BBQ in this area

My 2nd Big Bone experience and definetly hit home with me and the wife. It was absolutely excellent. Chicken wings were crispy and tender perfectly sauced, I went for Alabama slamma, perfect for pairing with the ribs that were a great side piece. The slaw, beans and fries were excellent aswell. Cornbread was perfect. Leigh was welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back again. Ordered their full rack of ribs and wings combo. Their wings were perfectly smoked and juicy. Their ribs were thick and moist packed with flavour. Place was very busy with dine in but mostly take outs but their service was great. Great experience overall. Will definitely return next time I am in town.

Been here a couple times and every time has been great, always try to get something new. I've had the pulled pork sandwich and the brisket sandwich both of which are amazing. Monday I was able to get their Monday Special which is a full rack of ribs, a pound of wings and a ton of fries for $38.00. Absolutely great deal, and I was able to split this with a total of 3 people. Service was great, the people there are always so kind, and the food is always great. The ribs were great, had a good bite while not being tough, Wings had a nice crisp and the honey garlic sauce was beautifully sweet. Plus the fries they use are like those flavour crisp fries and they're perfect for BBQ food. 100% recommend and will definitely be back.

Update: After countless visits, it's been difficult not to be a regular 😅! Food is consistently amazing, and it can't get better than that! The service is always simply the best with the friendliest people! I've been here a few times now, and I can safely say it's one of my favorites!! The food is soooo good! 🤤 What we had: Yesterday, we had the 6 bone dinner and the signature smoked barbecue chicken wings. Portion: We were two people who have a big appetite, and the food was very fulfilling in terms of portion! Food: The food is delicious and their barbecue sauce is amazing! Even the beans and coleslaw are amazing! What deserves a highlight of its own is the fries. I have no words to describe how good the fries are! Nothing I say will do them justice. The crisp, the flavor, and the fact that they are not dripping with oil at all! Their texture and crunch are everything! Staff: Everyone who works at the place is very sweet and helpful and always has a smile on their face! Atmosphere: With the music and decor, the vibes are just right! Forgot to take photos of the place because we were distracted by the food.
