Ordered online for pickup, Not sure how an order of boneless curry chicken with rice and peas translates to bone in goat with no peas. I almost choked on a piece of it not expecting bone fragments of another animal. I order boneless as i don't want to pay for things that are not edible such as bones. The food is generally very good here but I shouldn't need to tear open a to go bag to make sure the right meal has been provided.

A Disappointing Dining Experience We visited this restaurant with the expectation of enjoying a meal that would justify the expense. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of that. First, the menu lacks clarity. It does not specify whether dishes include rice, which led to some confusion when placing our order. We opted for a Large Jerk Chicken priced at $16, assuming it was just the chicken since the menu has a separate section for Large Rice and Peas. However, when the order arrived, we were shocked to receive only three small pieces of chicken. The portion size was highly disappointing for the price. To make matters worse, the chicken was extremely dry, with minimal gravy, leaving the dish lacking in flavor and moisture. For $16, we expected far more, both in terms of quantity and quality. This was our first visit, and it will undoubtedly be our last. The experience has made us realize the value of traveling a little further to places like Yardy’s on Brock Rd., where we know we’ll receive better quality food at a fair price. A fancy-looking establishment means little if the food does not meet basic expectations. This was a thoroughly unsatisfactory experience, and we hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve their offerings.

Beryl 's really needs to improve on there food quality and customer service. Last time I was there 3 years ago I bought a jerk chicken and was disappointed. I decided to get a oxtail dinner during lunch had a craving and was disappointed again. Not enough seasoning and spices. Plus the cashier need to smile when your spend $18 on a meal and it not worth it. I got a piece that was like a pig tail, mostly fat and rice. That will be my last time there, hope they see this message and do better.

Unfortunately my partner was super disappointed with his dinner tonight after ordering a large order of jerk and rice and peas. It was all bones with barely any meat, hardly any gravy even though he had asked for extra and the quality was below standard. Seems like this location in comparison to the Ajax one is cutting corners or trying to save money by offering smaller portion sizes or just skimping on the meat + quality of their meals. Super unfortunate when you’re paying around $20 per person for a quick takeout order. Given the competition in the pickering area - we’d be inclined to going elsewhere to get our jerk fix. I actually ordered from a different restaurant nearby so watching my partner who never complains about food like that seem so extremely unsatisfied and disappointed sucked!

Got takeout and it was nice and hot 😌 I haven’t had oxtail in forever so I’m glad I got it from here. The portion was great for me. I think they have daily specials but I didn’t know that until I got there (ordered and paid online). Will be back but it is a little far for me.

This restaurant has the potential to be good. The customer service has improved considerably (more pleasant people at the order desk) but the food is not consistently up to standard. I usually order curry goat or oxtail small meal and they are OCCASIONALLY surprisingly delicious but it's usually just good enough. I've had instances where the meat was still tough and we all know that nothing can make these types of dishes enjoyable if the meat is not tender. Yesterday I decided to try their jerk chicken lunch special. That was a big waste of my money tbh. The chicken had no taste of jerk and was not freshly made. I think we all know what stale reheated chicken tastes like. They are clearly cutting too many corners. Is it just due to greed or are they just struggling to keep their doors open? Very disappointed.

Food is very tasty and the atmosphere is pleasant. I had the chicken stew last week and it was divine!! The portion sizes are standard and may be smaller than expected for some diners.

I am so shocked by this restaurant. I don’t know what has happened to this place. They overcharge and give u scraps. I’m actually in disbelief… I’ve never ordered jerk chicken and only got 2 little pieces of chicken… & mostly bone at that for $14?! The portions for the price is crazy. I’m so mad I spent my money here. This place never used to be like this. I will not be eating here again. Truly SAD!
