Applewood Fish & Chips in Mississauga is loved for its crispy, non-greasy fish and homemade chips. The service is friendly, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a local favorite. While coleslaw was amazing the use of oil could be reduced, it's a hidden gem for fish and chips in the GTA.

My family has been going to this shop for 30 years. It's obvious that the ownership has changed hands It's not what it used to be. Fish quality has declined and the previous awesome coleslaw is no more. To boot, the prices have gone through the roof! It used be a great family owned establishment - what happened? I think I'll be going to Halibut house of fish and chips moving forward. Good luck Applewood, but you've changed far far too much.

I was craving fish and chips and happened to find this gem. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was incredibly friendly. The food was excellent, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more

Top fish and chip joint that’s been in the business for years and absolutely know what to do with their fish. Lots of options around the fish and chips including home made coleslaw and gravy. Delicious!

The best fish and chips in town! Coleslaw salad is amazing! Staff is very polite and friendly! The food is very fresh, tasty and served immediately. They offer also take out, perfectly packed in boxes and paper.

Fresh. Crispy and Tasty. This spot is serves up authentic fish and chips with a side of the creamiest coleslaw. The service was definitely one of the best I’ve experienced in a while. Loved it!

Love this place! Been a couple times and we definitely found our new fish & chips spot! Vibe is calm and fun, definitely family friendly and so are the prices. The staff is always so welcoming, you can tell they like what they do. Recommend the halibut and chips and the mushrooms! We also had gravy, coleslaw and scallops, all things we'd get again. I couldn't wait to take the photos before digging in but they have good portions as well. They serve Coke products for the die hard fans like me. Highly recommend this place.

This place has been on my to go list for quite awhile. The other day it was actually on the way, and we were like this has to be the time we are giving it a try. Since it was like between lunch and dinner so we ordered only a Premium Mild Halibut with fries and a large coleslaw to go. The fish is amazing! So so so good! But the fries were a little underwhelming probably because it’s takeout. Even a neighbour said it smells great when we were in an elevator. The only thing though is that the price is on the higher side, but I can understand you pay for what you get. The fish is really good! Coleslaw was great too. Also love the art pieces in the store. So beautiful.
