Went here for a birthday party for my friend Felix and the food is incredible and super authentic! The wait staff are all Chinese-speaking and it was a great opportunity to try some incredible lamb, pork, chicken, and seafood dishes grilled. This was my first time trying a century old egg, my friend Boyu told me that this is a dish that separates men from boys in China - and I'm glad to find out that I'm now capable of being a Chinese man. Great experience, our group was very boisterous and obnoxious, and the wait staff were incredibly patient with us.

Checked out Zao Bar and Grill last Saturday night and it was surprisingly chill for a weekend. We booked a table for five and got seated without any fuss. First off, the beer prices caught my eye – only $11, which is pretty sweet.The food? Absolutely nailed it. We went to town on the beef and lamb skewers, plus a bunch of other meat and veggie dishes. The spices were spot on – they really know their flavors. Everything tasted amazing and made for a memorable meal.Service was top-notch, too. Friendly, fast, and made us feel right at home. I’m already planning my next visit back. If you’re in the mood for some killer skewers and a laid-back vibe, Zao’s the spot. Highly recommend!

The best Chinese style grill in Toronto. Not kidding. Clams and scallops are the best of the best ! Didn’t get pay for the comment! Truly from the bottom of my soul ! Wish you guys can run the restaurant until the end of the world!

Pretty good! We went late at night and the workers were very accommodating to our large group. The atmosphere was nice and the interior was beautifully decorated. Food was solid with lots of flavour but on the pricey side. Some of the menu was in Chinese without English translation so there may be a language barrier for those who can't understand/read Chinese but servers were friendly and you could get by using Google translate lol

While waiting for your skewers to arrive you can enjoy the lively ambiance of the restaurant. The pleasant background music and friendly conversations add to the overall dining experience. The tantalizing aroma of the skewers being grilled in the kitchen whets your appetite even more. When your order finally arrives you'll be delighted by the presentation and aroma. The skewers look spicy showcasing their vibrant colors and enticing flavors. The meats are perfectly grilled tender and infused with delectable spices. Overall despite the slight language barrier in navigating the menu the experience at this skewer spot is enjoyable. Saw some recommendations on the social media so we decided to have a try. I think the food was pretty good, price was fair (around $30ish/person for a 5 ppl group). But to be honest I think Haoxiongdi BBQ (the one across street) is better. The service needs to be improved. Firstly they missed one dish that we ordered. After waiting for a long time we reordered it after checking with a waiter. Further, no one came to take away the empty plates so all the plates just piled up on the table while new food was served. This restaurant could be a good alternative if you don’t want to wait for a long time for dinner if you like Chinese BBQ.

I love the food the grilled chicken skin, chicken wings and the grilled squid tastes really good; I wanted to try the grilled oyster but they didn’t have it. The environment is also really nice they have really nice decorations too
