Zafoon Middle Eastern Restaurant.

We were walking by and decided to dine in as the ambience looked nice from the outside and boy were in for a treat! To start off, the place was cute and had interesting elements. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. We walked in at 9:30 pm (they close at 10:00pm) without reservations and they did manage to seat us. I really liked the fact that they had a small Menu. It usually means that they are serving only their best dishes. We ordered Chicken Musakhan and a Lamb Shank that is accompanied by 3 different types of rice. The order came in fairly quick and it was AMAZING ! The meat was tender, fall off the bone and seeped in flavours. It hit the palate at all the right spots. Every bite was delicious and packed with flavours. I loved how they paired different cuisines together. It was the perfect fusion. The portions were generous and service was great! Definitely going back there to try out their Mandi and Braised chicken.

Highly recommended! One of the best Arab and Middle Eastern restaurants in down Toronto. The staff are friendly and it is reasonably priced. Chef Wadi (Abbass) is experienced and creative managing to have balanced tastes and textures. The was great, the appetizer was perfect and the Beef Mandi was exceptional The staff are friendly Should be tried at least once if you live in Toronto

I had the pleasure of dining at Zafoon today, and it was an incredible experience. I tried the Shawaya Chicken with rice (half), and it was absolutely delicious. The portion size was generous, offering great value for the price.The combination of amazing food and exceptional service made for an unforgettable dining experience. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in for authentic Middle Eastern dining in the heart of Toronto.

I recently dined at Zafoon on College Street, Toronto, and had an incredible experience. The beef hummus was delicious, the lamb shank was perfectly tender and flavorful, and the rice was cooked to perfection. With welcoming service, efficient staff, and easy parking, I can’t wait to return soon and try out more delicious food

I don't normally rate places but this place deserves all the praise. If I could rate this place 100 stars I would! The best dining experience I've had yet in the city. The waiters were super friendly, the service was speedy. The chef was the truly star of the experience, many compliments to the chef. I can see he that cooking is his passion. Super involved from beginning to end, creating an intimate experience to our table and all patrons at the resteraunt. The food was incredible, perfectly flavored, the chicken tangine was soooooooo soft. I was unable to start my Kabuli rice that night since I was stuffed from my main meal but I'm chowing down on it now for breakfast. It tastes like if carrot cake was a rice dish! I hope the chef sees and is reassured that i did thoroughly enjoy every aspect of the meal 🧡 compliments to the chef! When I'm able to, I want to bring my family here in the future. They would really enjoy the food here. I will/would recommend this place to everyone!

If there was an option to give 10 starts I would! We found this place randomly as we were looking for middle eastern food and were amazed by all the good reviews! It was an amazing experience and the food was very tasty! Excellent service and super friendly staff. Chef Wadi explained the menu very patiently and delivered excellent food! They brought us complimentary soup, lentil and the lamb soup and they were both delicious! For starter we got the crispy cauliflower with spicy aioli, the cauliflower was very crispy and well seasoned and the aioli had fresh cilantro inside it. The Zafoon sauce was also tasty and had a unique taste which was a mixture of lemon and saffron. For the main we got the shawaya chicken with dill rice which was very tasty and well seasoned. For the dessert we got the carrot halwa and it had perfect texture and sweetness, not too sweet which is how I like desserts! Overall excellent food and service and the atmosphere was very pleasant and clean. Highly recommended!!

The décor adds to a truly immersive experience, making it feel like a mini escape from the city hustle. The food was absolutely fantastic—authentic and bursting with flavor. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, with spices and ingredients that brought out the best of the cuisine. The portions were generous, and the presentation was impeccable. We tried a few specialties, and each one was as delicious as the last. Service was attentive and friendly, making the overall experience exceptional. Zafoon has quickly become one of my new favorite spots, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Toronto!
