What a great find for a solo diner like me lool This Yunnan place has a convenient button to call for service when you’re ready to order. Plus, the extra noodles are free! I had the spicy noodles and chicken BBQ, and both were amazing. I’ll definitely be back, especially this winter.

My wife expected rice noodle and got something else. I got the rice noodle so I didn’t realize she didn’t get the rice noodle. My daughter also didn’t get the rice noodle. She didn’t notice though as she likes noodles. The reason we came here was the rice noodle, so not sure what was different on the menu. The food was okay. Most of the options were not available on the menu so I had a hard time choosing for myself. You order with a QR code and you pay at the end. There is a button which you use to ask for the server or to request the bill. They do not accept American Express. This place did not impress my wife who was expecting something very different. The service was great. Not their fault the food was underwhelming. Overall, because of the lack of food options, the poor first impression my wife got, and the fact they don’t take American Express, we won’t be coming back.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy (at around 11:30 when they opened). Service was good, and they were happy to explain the concept to first-time diners. Had their Blood Cake (Pig) With Crunchy Meat Croutons ($17.50). It came with a tea egg and picked vegetables. We could also ask for more complimentary noodles. The bowl was tasty. Having come from a smaller city where I haven't found blood cake served in restaurants, it was nice to have. The solo concept is also great, as it's nice to eat alone and not feel self-conscious about doing so! Although, the partitions can shift to allow people to eat beside a friend as desired. Would recommend!

Food was good, my favourite were the skewers and potatoes! The beef skewers were flavourful and fresh, not tough at all! I got the beef noodles, it was a good portion. I wouldn’t say it’s phenomenal but good for the price. I would not recommend getting the iced tea drinks, it’s fairly small and watered down for $7. I really liked the pickled radish, great crunchy, lightly spicy palette cleanser! Service was quick and server was very nice 😊 The ambience was nice, I really liked the playlist of jazz/blues they were playing!

atmosphere is lovely and the workers are extremely nice! I did go into it knowing I was going to order a rice dish at a noodle spot (I was craving pork belly) and it was alright. it was a bit dry, and the rice was a bit hard too. the appetizer (duck breast + corn/cucumber) was delicious, but it is $5 for a single slice of duck breast. I was craving it so I enjoyed it, but it is a bit on the pricey side imo! overall, I’d definitely go again to try their main speciality which would be noodle dishes, but for the pork belly I’d most likely not order again. the place is amazing for someone to go solo, with tons of desk space to store items so you don’t have to worry about those while you dine!

Great first solo dining experience in my entire life. Would definitely go back! I got the traditional noodles with an iced lime tea on the side. The crunchy meat topping and the gravy sauce were my favorite parts.

What an interesting way to dine! With individual and joint seating, Yunnan Noodle Shack provides quite an independent way of dining. After being seated and receiving a simple explanation from the waiter, the rest is all up to you. From ordering online using the QR code and calling for service using the ‘call’ button, everything is provided in front of you at your desk. The noodles are generous in portion, and the flavours are quite delicious. I ordered the slow cooked garlic pork shoulder noodles, and it was more than enough to fill me up. I have to say — I much prefer their customized in-house noodles over their rice noodles! With the noodle refill/portion on the side, you can tell that they cook the noodles in broth and not just plain water. That makes all the difference to me, as the flavour penetrates all the way through. The ambience was very cozy, and you can read the owner’s narrative explaining the origin behind the name for the restaurant as well. I loved it here and it did not feel awkward dining alone at all.

I had this place on my bucket list for a very long time. As an introvert, i was waiting for a good solo date to make the trip to this restaurant, and im glad I did. It was really worth it. To start off, I was the first one here during dinner hours at 5 pm. I loved how accommodating everything was for solo diners. They had caller buttons at each table, dividers, a phone holder, and even a place to leave your bag or other things. My server, Sanjana, was a very sweet person. She helped me through the menu and even recommended me other things to try near the restaurant (there were a lot of cool stores nearby). The food was just as I expected. They had a good promotional offer going on for the Yunnan cold rice noodles, and it was bomb. I love cold noodles, so It did not disappoint. The servings were large and really good for their price. I would come back here again to check out their rice dishes because they looked tempting . Overall, the aesthehics and vibes were really nice. If you're a fellow introvert I would definetly recommend you to visit.
