Yummy BBQ

I recently visited this establishment, and unfortunately, it was far from a pleasant experience. The cashier was astonishingly rude, treating me and other customers with visible impatience and disdain. It was clear they were in a bad mood, which seemed to set the tone for the entire visit. Adding to the discomfort, the cashier appeared to be unwell. This not only raised concerns about hygiene but also contributed to the overall negative atmosphere. It’s understandable that people get sick, but if someone is visibly unwell and unable to interact politely with customers, perhaps they shouldn’t be on the front line of service that day. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The flavors were bland, and the presentation left much to be desired. I was hoping for a meal that would make up for the poor service, but it fell short in every way. This experience was deeply disappointing, and I won’t be returning anytime soon. A little care and attention to both customer service and food quality could go a long way here. LOL nice come back, definitely made my day very demure, very mindful 😂😂😂

The Yummy Special is packed with flavour and so juicy! I love that you can adjust the spiciness level. They pack it very well for delivery too so it's still hot when it shows up at your door. Don't sleep on this place, it's a must try for all meat/bbq lovers!!

While the food is amazing, the owner who handles the order and cash registry is sooo grumpy and mean! He knows that his place is popular but if coming here to feed your famished stomach and you are “HaNgry”? Please don’t, it will take a toll on your day really! But the food is undeniably great tbh! 😊

You know the place is legit when the bad reviews are only about service attitude. As a regular customer of various Korean restaurants, I can confidently say that this is one of the best in town. The generous portion, the home style cooking, and the unbeatable price will make you return often. Yes the grandpa may seem a bit blunt during the first encounter, but once you get to know him, you will realize that he’s actually a good guy who just doesn’t like to take BS. If you stop by, make sure you get the Yummy Special, and you will thank me later.

One of my go to places for my work place lunch. The owner is so nice and packs so much for the lunch special. I tend to get there lunch special bbq short ribs or bbq beef. Both a filled with such big portion size and fills two people. Truly worth the meal and the price. I always recommend you asking for the bbq sauce on the side it's really good.

One of the GOATs in terms of taste, portion size, and value. Ordered the spicy BBQ short ribs plate which came to $27. That seems like a lot, but I assure you that it will easily feed 2 people... maybe an entire family for that matter. They LOAD it with meat, provide two small bowls worth of rice, and the usual Korean side dishes. My girlfriend and I couldn't even finish it, so there were leftovers. Any food court with a Korean store is almost guaranteed to be a hit and hidden gem, so please give them a try!

Best Korean food in Toronto. So great having Yummy BBQ again, loved eating here (at their old location on Bloor and Bathurst) and it's been a few years since we came back. Love the spicy chicken stir-fry and spicy BBQ ribs. Great service, BIG portion. Great prices compared to similar restaurants.

We needed to grab a quick meal and didn't realize this business was in a food court and we almost left. Don't come if you're expecting nice ambiance or table service. But if you're smart you'll stay and enjoy and amazing home style Korean food. The prices are comparable to restaurant prices so again, we were a little hesitant.. When we got our food however, we were pleasantly surprised by how generous the portions were. Definitely more generous than many of the Korean places we've been to. In the pics I tried to capture the size of the containers of just the banchan alone - the height of them. You definitely don't get as much anywhere else. The japchae was filled.. Actually every container was filled as you can see. Flavour was on point. 100% will be back when I get another hankering for Korean food because I know I'll get my money's worth.
