The food is okay. The tuna appetizer was dry and the pork cutlet was also too dry. Overall it's okay but not the best Don place.

Came in hungry, left questioning my life choices — in the best possible way. We ordered the steak don, the miso salmon bowl, sushi, and karaage. Yes, we ordered enough food to feed a small army. No, we don’t regret it. The steak don? Juicy, tender, and made me feel like I actually have good taste. The miso salmon was so perfectly cooked, I’m convinced the chef whispered sweet nothings to it. The sushi was fresh enough that I considered asking it about its travel history, and the karaage? Crispy outside, tender inside — I briefly thought about stuffing my pockets with it. The staff were friendly and didn’t judge me for the mountain of food. Atmosphere? Great. Regret? None. Will I come back? Only if they let me live there. Highly recommend this place if you’re hungry, love donburi, or enjoy making questionable portion decisions. 🥢🍱

Great Japanese Restaurant with excellent servings! My wife/I both had the Beef Tongue dishes and they were both delicious! We had the chicken Karage to start & that was also excellent. The service was good too -though our water glasses were left empty several times & could/should have been filled without asking several times…. All in all I would recommend You Don Ya 💯

My boyfriend and I have been coming in for a few months and we love this place! Delicious food and big portions, we can never finish and always have yummy takeout for later! My order is a bit particular and the staff is so kind and friendly; the waiters and chefs have memorized my order and always make it amazing. The atmosphere is lovely too. My boyfriend and I went to Japan this previous summer and it really feels like we’re back there, with the hospitality and amazing service and delicious food we always receive at this place!

Food was great with generous portions, it’s surprisingly a lot more food than what it looks. The meat on the karubi don was perfectly tender and very juicy. Not usually a fan of beef as a lot of places tends to overcook them, but this just had the right amount of bite. The Aged tofu was very good as well, the crunchy outer coating really complements the soft and silky texture of the tofu. Chicken kaarage was great, but nothing too special; will definitely satisfy that craving of japanese style fried chicken. Overall, highly recommended and will definitely be back!

Fantastic food. We recommend only ordering a rice bowl, we were really struggling to finish the sides we ordered because we underestimated the serving sizes. We ordered Chicken karage, pork cutlet, the spicy beef bowl, the salmon bowl, and the hamachi nabe. The karage and cutlet serving sizes were huge. The bowls would have been fine on their own. For taste, everything was very great. I think I was supposed to leave the rice in the nabe ware bowl to sit longer in order to let the rice get crispy on the bottom but I was too hungry to wait. The restaurant was a little hot (August heat too)

The beef tongue was grilled tenderly and thoroughly cooked. It had a slight liver-like taste with a hint of sweetness. The rice bowl was deep so the food had a generous portion, enough to make you full. I love this restaurant!

For the past two years, I've loved coming here with friends. My favourite dish is Karaage Don. The Japanese fried popcorn chicken is the perfect crispy texture that compliments the sweet taste of the mayo and the sour taste of the pickles. The staff are very friendly and provide quick service. The place features seating space enough for a few small groups and have very clean bathrooms. Always a pleasure to grab a meal here!
