Better than NYC location. Fresh food and excellent milk tea. The congee was hot and delicious. Hot sauce is one of the best. Surprised they don’t sell it.

Food: Yummy + good quality congee. The fried fritter (you tiao) was crispy and everything is fresh. If you order take out but plan to eat there, please let them know because they will cook the meat less to make sure it is freshly cooked when you arrive at home! Service: Ok service. They kept taking stuff off the table when we weren’t ready but it’s not a big deal. Condiments and chopsticks on the side of the table and paper bowls. Atmosphere: Ok, nothing special. They do not have an accessible washroom.

Came here really late after a long day. They are open quite late and service is quick and cheap. Ordered a shrimp and pork cheung fun, curry fishballs and a fish congee. The curry fishballs were exactly as I expected them to be. The congee was ok, the texture was good but it felt like it was missing something. I didn't really enjoy the cheung fun. The texture wasn't soft enough and the ingredients didn't meld together well.

Small shop, with tables really close to each other, but the food comes quickly. Highlight: - Street-style rice rolls: Smooth with just the right seasoning - Deep-fried dough sticks: Fresh and fluffy Decent: - Preserved egg and minced beef congee: Missing the fried rice noodles in the minced beef, unlike the traditional style - Rice rolls with beef, shrimp, and chive: Generous portions of beef and shrimp If you're not a fan of cilantro, make sure to ask them to leave it out of your congee in advance.

This place is the bomb, I've visited multiple times, and it continues to satisfy every time. Rice rolls are the way to go, got 3 different ones; shrimp and chives - I'd skip this one bc of the lack of shrimps, beef, and pork and pickle veggie. The curry fishaballs and dry fish skin were delicious. The service was great. The space was packed, resturant was noisy when I visited so not the best spot to work but may have been my timing. Overall, I highly recommend a visit.

3 stars for atmosphere because the tables are really close and they are maximizing the space available. Everything else is top notch. I've been a life long fan of Sam's congee, since they were in market village- and I'm referring to the 90's before the mall's expansion when their store was still outdoors! So this is a big, big endorsement when I say that Yin Ji is a whole caliber above Sam's. Everything about the menu is better. From the (gourmet) topping selection of both the congee and the chang fen, to the quality of the ingredients, the execution of the dishes, and even the selection of the appetizers. And all for roughly the same price as Sam's. I went with my parents, and we all in unison blurted out loud, "this is better than Sam's!" Especially since both stores are in close proximity, I doubt I'll return to Sam's.

When you specialize in anything rice, those in the know, knows that this place delivers! Congee comes at you piping hot, the rice noodle rolls for about $7 each are much larger than those you get at dim sum places and are tasty on a bed of sweet soy sauce. The dumpling fish soup is excellent too with deep flavour on the broth as is the fish skin dish, excellent. Friendly and efficient service. Cash only.
