We came here to celebrate a birthday. I recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is not very big. This is all you can eat Japanese bbq. Mon- Thurs Adults $41.99, Child (5-10 yrs old) $19.99, Infant (0-4 years old) $3.00. Fri Sat Sun and Holidays: Adults $44.99 Child $19.99, Infant $3.00. You have a Japanese style hibachi grill to cook your food. They have a good ventilation system to keep your clothes from smelling like bbq. The menu is well thought out and organized. For protein you have beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. There's a section for vegetables, side orders, and tempura, soup and rice. My favourites were the takoyaki, bimbimbap, shrimp tempura, sweet soy short ribs, prime kalbi, pork belly, and cheesy butter corn. For dessert you have choice of Melona ice cream bar (limit 1 per person). I recommend getting the ube flavour. Excellent place for Japanese bbq and glad there's one in Pickering. The service was friendly but I find the cooked food orders took too long to come out. We had to follow-up many times. I will definitely come back to eat here.

The food items are authentic. I travel to Japan quite often and the tastes here are very similar to when eating in Japan. Service is excellent and servers are pleasant to serve food at reasonable speed. Had yuzu high ball when eating the grill, it paired the grilled meat very well as usual.

Server and waiter here were absolutely delightful. His name was Sejohn or some thing. I think he’s Tamil but he was cautious always served with a smile. He told us the greatest jokes. He just brought the vibes to the place. I’d say value for money 10 out of 10 the speed was also very quick. We were seated and served food within less than five minutes. ambiance is beautiful and we got served by some nice Indian guy and very quickly and they were friendly.

Tried out the new all you can eat Japanese BBQ in Pickering called Yakyoto Grill and it did not disappoint!! It’s amazing to finally have a place like this in Durham and unlike other BBQ places in Toronto, they DO take reservations 🙂. Highly recommend making one before you go! The staff was amazing and kept checking in to make sure all our items came and met our expectations. All the food was incredible and the aesthetics inside are beautiful.

Ate her on a Friday night and it did not disappoint. The servers are super friendly and accommodating. The meat selections were amazing and seemed like high quality meat. The shrimp and crab tempura were amazing. When you needed the girl changed they came by quickly to help out. All in all a great experience. Only thing would be I would there were 2 grills for our party of 3 I would 100% come back.

Last minute decision was made to dine here for an impromptu lunch. I'm so glad we stopped. So good in fact we came back 2 weeks later for a grad celebration. It is on the pricier side of lunch, $30/adult, but in my opinion, I would rather have this as a buffet any day over your traditional buffet. The meats all have a great flavour and everything cooks quickly. There is even seasoning on the table if you need more spices. You also have the option to order garlic, jalapeños etc. to enhance the flavour. Great family spot and fun for the kids to help cook. We will certainly return.

I initially said I would provide a review the first week they opened but decided to hold off until I went the second time! Word of advice is to make a reservation on the weekends if you plan to go. Super happy there is a Japanese grill or any grill spot for that matter that has opened up in Pickering. Food is awesome, particularly the prime kalabi cuts, which I would definitely recommend (the meat with the nice marbling in my photos). The other cuts of beef are good as well as the thick pork belly, which you can never go wrong with. Good range of veggies, seafood options and tempura to pick from. They have the usual asthetic and atmosphere one would expect from a typical modern Japanese restaurant in North America so no complaints there. I have gone for dinner both on the weekend and during the weekday. In both experiences staff were quick and attentive to take your order and clean away plates. Only items of improvement is when we recently went our server just immediately asked us what we wanted. Be nice even if we have been before which he just assumed to give us the whole run around of how everything works. Was not very happy with that. Also the clams and salmon had sand in them when we went. I'll update this to see if this is fixed the next time we go but definitely a great experience I'd recommend.

The service here is spectacular. All empty dishes are removed often before you can even place them back down on the table! Everyone was attentive and friendly. The food is delicious. Our favourite was the brisket. Very flavourful and smoky from the grill. The cheese corn was a hit with myself and my friend. I really liked the buttered enoki mushrooms, as well. The bibimbap has more of a Japanese flair, but was very tasty. All ingredients were fresh and brought out quickly. We didn't feel rushed and enjoyed our time. The melona at the end was the perfect end to a great lunch.
