Nice place to have perfect Korean Street food. The place for dinein is small but it’s worth to wait if needed.Staff are super friendly. We tried the Korean fried chicken, Rose Tteokbokki, Tuna rice bowl.

Food was so delicious, large portions, and affordable price! Fav was the chicken and rose tteokbokki. A small but cozy spot. Service was really good, they were so nice. You also get a discount if you pay cash. Now one of my fav places, will def go back! Perfect for your cravings.

If you are craving good Korean comfort food, head to Woojoo Bunsik! Jumokbap (Korean rice ball) was a perfect combo of mayo, pickled radish, seaweed, onion chips and rice. They provide a plastic glove to mix the ingredients together so that you can make them into rice balls :) Rose Tteokbokki (Korean rice cake) with hot dogs, onions and wide sweet potato vermicelli in rose sauce (Korean hot chilli paste with cream) was perfect. The rice cake and vermicelli were soft and chewy and lathered up the creamy and not so spicy rose sauce. Deep Fried Chicken in Sweet Spicy Garlic Sauce: You can’t go wrong with Korean deep fried chicken in sweet spicy garlic sauce. So duk so duk (Deep Fried Rice Cake and Hot Dogs) in sweet spicy sauce hits that rice cake and hot dog craving. Deep frying the rice cake is just a perfect combo of crispiness and chewiness :) Heads up, seating is limited at this place. Edit: We came for a follow up and food is still amazing as usual. We had the Cream Udon, Rose Chicken Bokki, and So duk So duk. The Cream Udon was good with perfectly cooked udon and a great creamy mushroom soup like sauce. The Rose Chicken Bokki was flavourful with good chunks of juicy tender chicken and chewy rice cakes. The So duk So duk was a delicious combo of rice cake and sausage.

Cute little shop for Korean street food. Everything was flavourful and delicious and fun to eat. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend the rice balls. The fried chicken come with pieces of chewy fried tteokbokki. It’s a small space with very little seating so maybe don’t go with a large group.

Great gem for Korean street food! Very small place with only 2-3 tables, ideal for takeout. - Tuna rice ball: so flavourful and enhanced by the bits the crunchy texture - Rose tteokbokki: just the perfect texture of chewy/soft with a powerful sauce - Rose pasta: had a very similar but slightly sweeter sauce to the rose tteokbokki, the noodles were quite al dente - Cream udon: noodles were slim and bouncy, the sauce was super creamy and umami - Chicken bokki: mainly rice cakes and a few chunks of chicken, with a slightly sweeter sauce than the rose - Fish cake skewers: tasty with a clear and pleasant soup All the spice level ordered was mild, but we found it fairly spicy. Prices are pretty cheap with slightly smaller portions, but overall quite worth it for tasty small plates perfect for sharing!

Food: 4 Stars Service: 3 Stars Ambience: 3 Stars Value: 4 Stars Overall: 3.5 Stars Woojoo Bunsik offers a culinary experience that's both surprisingly vibrant and reasonably priced. Firstly, my friend and I ventured to try the rose tteokbokki with fish cakes. Notably, we opted for level 1 spice, yet, quite unexpectedly, it packed a fiery punch. Consequently, we found ourselves reaching for copious amounts of ice water. However, it's crucial to mention that, despite the spice, each bite was bursting with flavour, making the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Additionally, we had set our sights on the Tofu Pocket With Spicy Salmon, but, regrettably, it was unavailable during our visit. This minor setback, however, led us to explore other options. We settled on cheese sticks and calamari. Both choices proved to be delightful, complementing the meal with their distinct textures and tastes. A point often overlooked is the size of the venue. The restaurant is quite compact, housing only four tables. This aspect, while potentially a downside for dine-in guests, underscores a different strength: the place is ideally suited for takeout. Furthermore, the affordability of the menu is a significant plus. All items are priced within a budget-friendly range, which is a rare find. In conclusion, Woojoo Bunsik stands out as a gem for those seeking flavourful Korean cuisine at a reasonable cost. While the space constraints suggest a focus on takeout, the quality of food remains undiminished. I'm eagerly looking forward to frequent visits, particularly to try out other enticing menu items like rice balls, pasta, and, hopefully, the elusive tofu pockets. kellychan360

I saw videos of this new restaurant and wanted to try it out. The North York location is TINY. There are only 4 tables in the entire restaurant. Dine in time is only for 1 hour as the waitlist can get long. This location is definitely better for take out. My friend and I ordered the rose tteokbokki with fish cakes, spicy crab meat rice ball, cheese butter fries. My favourite was definitely the spicy crab meat rice ball. All the dishes had lots of flavours and the portions were big. All the prices are very affordable as well. I didn’t see any washrooms. Overall, loved the food here. I would definitely come again for take out or visit the other location. Highly recommend.

Ordered rice balls, fries, and pasta. We enjoyed everything. The service was really fast. The place can only accommodate 10 people I guess. But regardless, this spot has a lot of customers going for take out. Most of the meal even though they said it's single serve, it was a pretty generous serving. Happy to find this spot and it's a reco for people who are into rice ball and korean spicy noodles/pasta.
