Every time there is a holiday this place screws up and people are waiting for more than 1 hour for food. They take more orders than they can possibly fulfill and when they are behind they don't bother to call customers and let them know. Good food alone is not enough. Stop screwing up special occasions by being greedy. The owner won't give a discount to waiting customers and claims he just works here.

We've been getting take out a few times recently. We were excited to find a nice place and have enjoyed the food. The general Tsao chicken was crispy not soggy. Last week we ordered a few dishes. The shrimp with veggies had no shrimp. However, once my fiance got home we couldn't verify what they actually charged us for because there was no order slip. We wouldn't mind as long as they didn't CHARGE us for the shrimp. (We didn't follow up as it was late, they were closed). Tonight we ordered our usual. We split the Hot and Sour soup. And as I am almost done my bowl I noticed what looked like a MAGGOT. My fiance was trying to convince me it was from the bean sprout. But then I noticed ANOTHER one. I immediately stopped eating it. I won't touch the chicken I ordered now. I DID also call them to tell them to throw out what ever soup they have...and investigate where, what ingredient they possibly came from. I'm completely turned off. I will try and post pictures. I called. She --(owner) offered a $10 credit. However the soup alone is nearly $8. We drove back (15 min drive) to return the full chicken dish. I placed the maggots from the soup on a paper towel in a zip lock bag to show. And unfortunately, my fiance ate his beef dish first and so fast. We got refunded the full amount. She was kind during this process. Unfortunately, it's holiday time and obviously a family run place... as much as I hate leaving a "bad review"--- food safety, handling is IMPERATIVE!!! Now we wait and see if we get sick or not. Proceed with caution... prior to this we did enjoy the food... UPDATE: we have stomach cramping, nausea and spending time in the loo...

Once the ownership/management changed, the food has gone downhill. It’s realistic to think that recipes will change but food isn’t made fresh to order. Everything is deep-fried twice, there’s no sauce, there’s no flavor. Very disappointing since it’s 1 of 2 Chinese places in Brooklin. It used to be so good.

I have been living in this neibourhood last 13 years. The food used to be tasty and flavor full. But now the Management change there is no taste in food, not look right and flavor so different. I order 5 items all taste so plain. missing shrimp in my Singapore style noodles. need salt and pepper. General tao chicken doesn't taste the same. deep fried chicken used to be tasty chicken. very disappointed.

Good reviews on yelp are a lie, should've checked Google. Definitely not authentic Chinese. Very North American, quite bland. Got various dishes and they all tasted the same.

It’s hit or miss, but when these guys decide to cook up a delicious meal, they deliver. My only feedback is that they need more flavour in their rice. Maybe a little oyster sauce and sesame oil? It’s very bland tasting. General Tao chicken (although I think they recently changed the coating), Singapore noodles (needs a little more curry but the shrimp is always cooked to perfection) and mushroom egg foo young are the best around.

This food is awesome! Both the Shanghai and Udon noodles are high quality and not cheap imitations that I have found at most restaurants. I can tell the owners spare no expense to offer their customers meals that are both healthy and delicious. My favourite dishes are the Shanghai noodles with pork, the chicken balls, which are some of the best I have ever had, and the curry rolls which are super unique, definitely a must try. I'm pretty sure they are using Japanese style curry which is awesome! Good work Wok In! I will be recommending you to all of my friends :)

Thought I would give this place a try for the first time based on some of the reviews I came across. Overall my experience was poor to say the least. I found the person taking the order over the phone to be a bit impatient. As for the menu, they have Red Curry on their menu but the person taking my order told me they stopped making that a few years ago. Why is it still on the menu? Anyway, there was a bit of a screw up with the pickup as they placed the order as a delivery. I learned about that when I arrived at the store!! I found the food, all 4 dishes, to be bland. The only dish I found ok was the steamed rice :-). I won't be placing any orders in the future.
