Wimpy's Diner

Great little place. Really feels like an old-style diner. We went there for breakfast. My wife didn't like hers unfortunately. Said the eggs were too runny, the bacon not crispy enough. She only told me this after though. Tough to fix after the fact. Anyway, I for one liked my food. But I do have to point out that this particular location is not wheelchair accessible;despite what Google says. I would go back, only to prove my wife wrong.

Food is nothing special. Got that cook everything in one pan kind of look to it when you see how much "extra" burnt bit are in the food. The portion size is generous. Service is okay, but again, nothing special. Typical dinner efficiency and welcoming. A lot of folks seem to think the atmosphere is "amazing." It's not. Typical 80s "funky retro dinner" but it not the 80s anymore. If you look closer as you sit and wait for your food, you'll quickly notice just how dirty and unkempt the place is. Stains on the walls are surly years old.

Nice little spot for your classic breakfast. Portions were pretty large and their potatoes were very nicely seasoned. Tiny piece of my pancake was a bit undercooked but would go back for classic breakfast goodies. Place was tucked away in a small plaza with free parking and the decor inside was had a cool vintage feel.

Wimpy's is the place to go to get 'bang' for your hard earned dollar. I ordered fish (haddock) & chips and the portions were enough to feed two hungry people! The chips were hot & crispy and the fish was tender with a light crisp breading. The house made tartar sauce was heavy on the relish but otherwise well worth the $19 for this go to comfort food. The vibe is cool with 50's /60's red diner booths to sit in and old juke boxes on the walls. Love the retro vibe.

Wow, haven't seen portions this big in years. Hidden gem. They don't skimp on the veggies and cheese in their omelettes. Omelettes came with a huge portion of fresh home fries and 3 pieces of bread. It was a solid two meals worth of food. Excellent customer service. Oh, and they had gluten free bread! The place is 40 years old and authentically retro, as opposed to new cafes pretending to be old nowadays:) this was a great find and we'll definitely be coming back!

I live close to this Wimpys but have never tried it until recently. The service was friendly, I felted welcomed and the food was excellent, the breakfast platters are big enough to share between two people. I enjoy the old style look to the restaurant. It seems like a lot of locals come here too, the parking lot is a bit rough esp during winter but maybe out of their control.

Ordered breakfast from wimpys on the skip the dishes app. We ordered eggs peameal bacon home fries and I had a side of bacon and toast with jam. My husband liked his food and received 3 eggs, 3 pieces of peameal bacon with a huge amount of home fries. My bacon came crispy as I requested and got 4 pieces. Toast came with 4 jams which was great as I love a jammy toast. Only suggestion I would like to make is coffee delivery, lids are open so the coffee spilled. Next time can you cover the lids with plastic wrap or get stickers to place over the holes. This way nothing leaks out and customers have a better delivery experience. Overall this Place was good and I would order again. Update Ordered 2 for 1 western and fried through uber eats Nice size but fries tasted stale, I think it's the oil.

If you're in Scarborough, specially south and looking for the best breakfast place, this Wimpy's is all you want. right at the corner of a busy intersection and even busier inside. It's also a burger joint for your evening sports sessions with lots of TV screens around. I went there for breakfast and the news was playing with really good ambience. The Waitress was really welcoming but the food was beyond anything I could imagine. I grabbed the early bird pancake deal which is probably the best thing you can have there. I ate the whole thing in 3 days the quantity was just so much. The pancake was the best I have had so far in most Breakfast joints. The ham and eggs were perfectly cooked. The potatoes were the best fries I have tried so far as well. Definitely going there again for any breakfast experience. The wifi is not for the customers but everything was tiptop and clean and cozy. I took ketchup and hot sauce but the food was too good for me to ruin with anything else.
