Wimpy's Diner

I had a really great experience at Wimpy's Diner this last friday. The food was pretty good I got the famous burger that hung off the sides of the bun. The atmosphere was nice they had Christmas music running, but honestly, what stood out the most was the service from this male server. He really went out of his way to make sure we had a good time, and he was so friendly. It made me and my wife want to come back just to see him again. I even tipped a little extra because he was just that great and I think in shcool. Overall great experience and I would definitely recommend checking it out if ur in the area.

Fairly new to the area and went for dinner Thursday after a few friends recommended it as being very family friendly. Everything was good ! Burgers were good and French fries were hot and delicious , kids loved the banana milkshakes ! Place was busy but our waitress was on top of it ! So pleasant and efficient ! We will be back !

The food? Dried up roast beef sold as a Philly Steak and Cheese. Call it a roast beef sandwich. Fish and chips were, ok. Red wine was old and skunky and sent back for a diet Coke. Staff. Our waitress was obviously on her first night. She did well by us. I'm not sure who the other waitress was. I can only assume she was the owner/partner. I digress. Her voice is so loud and disturbing. The music playing from a small crappy thing a 9 yr old would play with. And music you might imagine her to play. She took a personal phone call in the dinning room. We're so happy to hear your molls are gone. I wanted to vomit. Cute place. Very disappointed. We will not be back.

First of all our waitress was amazing. Food was subpar. Price was reasonable for what we got. But most concerning thing that we have found in this restaurant is rust stains spilling over table from the ketchup/salt/pepper rack. Moreover the salt and pepper shaker "top" was also rust stained and looks not hygienic for your food. When we were taking salt and pepper the rust also fell in our food. I wonder how do they even pass inspection? If it is that bad for the table how bad of their food handling will be in the kitchen? To owner: please fix this before its too late.

Wimpy's was my first American Diner experience and i absolutely adored it. The Wimpy burger was delish. However i can't say the same for the poutine. It's not a place to go to have poutine .

Great place to eat - lots on the menu, good variety. Always a good meal. Great service. Can't say I've ever had a problem here, both with stay in or take out. Update - Aug 2024. Two of us felt ill after eating here. My food was slightly undercooked, and so I ate just a bit of it. Our table and another had to go up and ask for items, as we were waiting for service. I went up and advised my mother needed some water (as she was having a bit of a problem) and after being told she would provide her with a glass the waitress became busy with other tasks - so i had to go back up again and i got some from another waitress. Then she stopped by to ask where my party went, and after I advised I tried to ask for more got water but she just walked away, so went back up again and was provided by another waitress. Understandable that the waitress was busy, but I felt ignored. This place is usually pretty empty, I'm starting to wonder if they are struggling.

Philly steak was made with plain roast beef no seasoning. Hardly any flavor with the cheese and peppers. Famous whimpys burger. Not impressed. Smelled horrible by the bathroom. And we got ill after eating there.

Staff attending to us was very nice. Good service & good food. Went back here after 3 years...food is no longer good, service is bad. Waitress doesn't even come back if we need coffee refill or glance our way to see if we need anything. Very disappointed with the food & service.
