Whitby Jerk Stop

Tripped into this store by chance and went in. Its a store that has island seasonings, sauces, beverages and other goodies to eat. They also have an area where you can pick up some authentic dishes. LOVE their beef patties! Really tasty and flaky. Service with a big smile and warm greetings. Definitely coming back to try the other dishes.

First time here won't be my last! Service was quick and friendly. Food was super flavourful and really fresh. I got a jerk pork meal to go. Now I have to go back and try the rest of the menu. A hidden gem for sure!

I recently moved to the area and was craving Jamaican food. I chose this place based on the positive reviews. The customer service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. We ordered jerk pork, chicken, and oxtail. The flavours were pretty good. I only had one complaint: the rice and peas were undercooked, and the rice was very hard. Despite that, I will return.

Paul is a blessed soul. Every interaction I've had with this man has been so wonderful and pleasant. He really makes you feel part of the community. The food here is fantastic. The patties are really really good, the oxtail and jerk chicken are just as amazing. My go to spot for Jamaican food in Whitby. I've ordered through Skipthedishes and in person; experience is much better in person (cheaper too). Highly recommend!

People this is the convenience store and has the best jerk chicken in Whitby bar. None, forget all the bad reviews. I don’t know what people experienced, but I have never had a bad this year. It’s flavorful. It’s the right amount of heat. The gravy is amazing. The people are courteous and customer service oriented. I love this place. It’s a hidden gem. Tried Jus Convenience Jerk Stop for the first time tonight and everything was fantastic! My group ordered two jerk pork meals, a jerk chicken meal, festival, plantains, and some patties. The jerk was very flavorful and spiced to perfection, the rice and coleslaw paired great with the flavors of the jerk pork/chicken, and the festival had just the right amount of crunch to it with a nice touch of sweetness that was a good compliment to the meal. The texture and flavor of the plantains was also exactly what my group was looking for. The portion sizes were generous so the patties will be saved for tomorrow and I can't wait to try them then. The staff were also very friendly and my group and I send our compliments to the chef! I highly recommend Jus Convenience Jerk Stop to anyone looking for great Caribbean food in Whitby and I will definitely be returning soon.

We live so close to this place and never even knew it was there until a friend of ours from Pickering told us about it. Had to go check it out because I love supporting the local eateries. It's a little counter in the back of a convenience store and when you come, you're greeted very warmly by the owners. He even gave my son a freezie while we waited. That's the kind of warmth you love to see and why I love frequenting these kinds of establishments. We got jerk chicken, jerk pork and goat curry and everything was SUPER delicious. I loved the spices on the jerk chicken, definitely top 3 I've ever had. Jerk pork was sooooooo juicy and tasty. Goat curry was top notch. Really wanted to try to ox tail but they only do certain dishes on certain days so refer to the menu or call the place to see what the specials are for that day. Not everything is always available. Whatever you get though, you're gonna love it. I can't wait to come back. Sorry I forgot to take pictures of the food. Ate it too quickly lol.

Tried this place for the first time. I must say such great customer service. I bought 1lb mild jerk chicken with a serving of festival which comes with 6 pieces and 2 grace pop. This came up to $21 when I paid cash. Word is you save a bit if you pay cash 🤫 but we’ll worth it and the festivals were fresh and so was the chicken. I’d say a 10min wait. I’ll definitely go back.
