Vit Beo is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.

We are a small casual restaurant focused on Vietnamese food with a fresh take. The vibe is open kitchen and we are entirely staffed by cooks. Our approach in the industry is centered around supporting and showcasing cooks. Dining with us is more akin to eating in the kitchen rather than the dining room.

I was told standing to eat wasn't an option, "that space is for merch". Seemed a little... Counter intuitive 🥁 as a paying customer is somehow less important than a merch sale... In a restaurant... Okay. That aside the food was good. I'd rate the service higher if it wasn't for that weird comment about a merch area AND being told after being served to hurry up and finish because they have weird opening hours. Just serve the guests and let em eat 😂

Went back twice in the same evening, good is not only good, but love seeing the hustle, they work to make incredible tasty food. Highly highly recommend

Needed my pho fix so came to see if it lived up to its reviews. Firstly was disappointed to receive a Viet iced coffee in a pre packaged bottle… then just be handed a spoon, chopsticks, and a dry half lime wedge after ordering at the counter. I was hoping the sprouts and Thai basil would come with the soup, but they apparently don’t do that here. Noodles were really thick, and noodle to broth ratio was unfortunate (too many noodles). I would say there was an impressive amount of beef, and the broth was super yummy, but I’m used to saucing up my broth myself and adding the sprouts and stuff which they didn’t have and therefore it felt kinda unauthentic :( I will say the bahn mi looked delish tho. Hate to say It’s unlikely I return.

Small place with a small menu. The good is delicious and packed with flavour. Everything we tried we really enjoyed! It seems a little confused between a take out place and a sit down restaurant. You have to order at the bar before sitting down and they bring your order to you. It will be nice to see them as more of a sit down place. I think I would order more if the seats and space was more comfortable.

We came on a weekday evening for dinner to Vit Beo. We got the fried calamari as our appetizer. I got the beef pho, and my partner got the pho bo kho. The food was good. The service was okay... the three people did not seem to want to leave from behind the counter, so you had to go up and order, pay, and ask for things. They only came up to serve us the food and later to clean up once we left. It wasn't really anything special in terms of the food available or the service or atmosphere. There's better Viet food in the city.

Absolutely amazing Vietnamese place. Pho and pork congee were incredible and full of flavour, and dumpling and fried squid appetizers were great. Service was amazing, and both the service staff and chefs were so genuine and friendly! Will definitely be coming back :)

Every mouthful is a flavor bomb. The food is soo well made and comforting as well. We had the beef shaken fried rice and the beef pho. The baby bok choi was a standout appetizer for me as well. This is a place I can keep coming back to over and over and never get tired of it.

Would definitely recommend the Pho Bo Kho, Kho Quet Chicken, Pork Belly Banh Mi and Congee The pork belly in banh mi has this sweet 5-spice sauce that goes so well with the pickles inside. A little hint of pungency (the little red pepper, it looks big but it’s not spicy)
