Nice cozy place for a date night. Interior and overall vibe is good. Tried tandoori momos & mojito- both tasted amazing.

Awesome find in an area full of posh , loud and fancy Indian restaurants. This cozy and sweet little place stole our hearts. Went here after dropping out of two big Indian restaurants because of the ridiculous lines. When we went inside there was just one more family in the entire restaurant . We were bit skeptical but decided to give it a try. From the sweet host, to the soothing punjabi folk songs (unlike the loud music that irritates the heck out of me in other restaurants) , to the awesome food. They did not disappoint us in any dish. Highlight was the tandoori platter . ( We ordered veggie but I am sure non-veg platter is as good) . Peanut masala and bhindi masala tasted authentically punjabi . Like from back home india. Dal makhni was actually just dal cooked in rich makhkhan (butter) without the artificial coloring. The spice level was well adjusted according to our taste and the simplicity and taste of authentic ingredients won our hearts. Definitely worth a try if you live around here. May not be a fancy restaurant but the food is way better .

Delicious flavourful omelette and fresh home fries but extremely slow service. They open at 11 and I got my omelette at 11:27. Even the tea took ages to be prepared. I was literally the only customer. I didn't like the multigrain toast.

I have been to Urban Theka several times and I have always enjoyed the food and the service. Their menu is an interesting blend of Canadian and Indian options, which I think makes it perfect for people unfamiliar with Indian food to dip their toes and experiment with something new. I would highly recommend the veggie pakoras. It's a fantastic appetizer, and I always order it for myself or to share with friends. I ordered their butter chicken, which was delicious. The meal was creamy and had a perfect level of spiciness. The fresh naan was an ideal match for the dish. It is a pleasure to eat. Service has always been excellent during my visits. The staff are attentive and polite and work hard to ensure that you enjoy your meal. I visited the restaurant often in its previous form and it has been nice to see it get renovated and refreshed.

We were there on Saturday for lunch. Tandoori momos and samosa chat was lovely! Nancy served us, 5 full stars for her service. My 18 month old child was also given a colouring page with crayons. Thank you Nancy!

I have been to Urban Theka and Grill a few times now, and they never fail to impress me with their amazing food and service. Brampton has no dearth of restaurants but you can’t miss this one—not only does their food taste incredible, the service they provide is unmatched. The fusion of Indo-Canadian flavours is so refreshing and there is something for everyone on their menu. I don’t know of any Indian restaurants in Brampton that do tandoori pranthas and they taste out of this world. I would also highly recommend their tandoori momos and tandoori eggs Benedict. And just like their food, I am also in love with their space—great ambience with a bar, dine-in area and patio, cant ask for more.

Stumbled upon this place and what a gem!!!! They have a "bar/pub food" menu but we went for the indian. Outstanding!!!! The samosa app was amazing, beautiful spice notes and covered in a chickpea curry, mint sauce, onion and tomatoes. The butter chicken among the best I've ever had (and that includes overseas). Service was fast, friendly and clearly passionate about the restaurant. Wishing them many happy years.

Originally came here looking for AJ's bar and grill but found this place. The staff said they had all the items from the old menu so we tried it out. Overall the staff was eager and friendly. I feel like we were their first customers. The bartender was very excited about the banana mint shake so I tired that and ordered the paneer paratha. The food was satifactory. I needed 2 orders of paratha to fill up but 1 may be enough for some. It was cooked in a tandoor so it had a nice smoky flavor and it was served with some fresh butter and home made yogurt and aachar. Personally I would have prefered a lot more spices in the paratha but that may just be my preference. Overall a great experience!
