Great service. Had the veg nachos which were very nicely loaded with sour cream and tomatoes on the side. Would be very filling with meat. Espresso creme brulee was a bit sweet but unique and tasty.

My recent luncheon at Union Social on Financial Drive, hosted as part of a corporate gathering, left me with a rather unpalatable impression. As a man who relishes the nuances of fine dining, I dared to request a steak prepared to the glorious standard of medium. Regrettably, what arrived before me was a woefully overcooked cut, utterly bereft of the succulence one might expect. The presentation, too, was a disheartening sight — uninspired, pedestrian even. One might think that at this price point, the establishment would strive to elevate both taste and aesthetics to a level worthy of its clientele. Alas, this was not the case. In sum, while the company at the table was delightful, the culinary experience was anything but. A most regrettable choice for a corporate affair.

We enjoy coming to this restaurant! The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. Karen L. is usually our server, and she's fantastic—always welcoming and remembers our usual orders.

From the time we walked in until we walked out we were impressed. Upon entering, the host asked if we wanted a veg/gluten sensitive menu. Which I needed and was very appreciative of. She sat us at a table, then came over a min later to tell us a large group would be sitting behind us and perhaps wanted to change seats to somewhere more quiet. (That right there meant a lot to us as we had a long day and just wanted to relax and eat). Our server Victoria was amazing! Super friendly and gave some great suggestions. The food was beyond. I had the burger with the GF bun and I’m telling you it lifted my spirits. My partner had the club with the cranberry bread and said it was the best they’ve ever had. The only downfall to this restaurant is there isn’t one in Halifax! You should all be proud of your restaurant.

I rarely write reviews for bartenders/servers, but after the exceptional experience we had with Reni at union social eatery, I felt compelled to share. Our last visit was marred by less-than-stellar service, so we were a bit apprehensive about returning. However, Reni completely transformed our experience, and we couldn’t be more grateful. From the moment we sat down, Reni's warmth and friendliness were immediately apparent. He greeted us with a genuine smile and took the time to understand our preferences, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that every detail was perfect. His attentiveness was remarkable—he managed to be available without being intrusive, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. What stood out the most was Reni’s exceptional service. He made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table, and his positive attitude and professionalism turned our evening around. It was clear that he genuinely cares about his craft and takes pride in providing an outstanding dining experience. We haven’t encountered this level of service at a restaurant before, and Reni’s dedication truly set a new standard. His impact on our evening was profound, and we left with a renewed appreciation for excellent hospitality. The food was great we got the chicken bow ties pasta and buttery buffalo wings which was up there with the best bar wings around. Thank you, Reni, for making our visit so memorable. Your outstanding service has not gone unnoticed, and we look forward to returning and hoping to be served by you again!

Had a dinner party and the food and service was amazing! Our server Reni was very welcoming and made sure everyone was enjoying their time and food. Bang bang chicken and steak was so good! Truffle fries were amazing had to bring some home :p Definitely would come again!

Got the Smokehouse Deluxe Beef Burger, tasted very average, nothing special. Something I could easily make myself at home . Didn't really have much flavour, I feel like a burger from a fast food chain could be comparable or better. Came in at lunch, lots of space, service was quick and attentive. Price is fine.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Union Social! The chicken tacos and almond-crusted chicken fingers were not only delicious but also exceeded my expectations. The customer service was exceptional, and I appreciated the efficiency with which the food was served – it came out remarkably quickly. A fantastic dining experience overall!
