Union Chicken

This is right in the middle of a public transit station, so the atmosphere is wanting. The service was good. They were a little distracted but still kind. It didn’t seem jam packed, but I think they were trying to flip tables quickly - I get that. The food all seemed to have too much cinnamon, or some sweet spice which made it too sweet. I finished my wings but my wife didn’t eat her chicken and I didn’t touch my poutine (I had better at Wendy’s frankly).

This restaurant is located above union food court, and it is good place for lunch. Bring my son to the place during lunch time, ordered fried chicken platter 4/5, fried chicken sandwich with fries 4/5. Service is good and fast, although they are a busy restaurant.

Very good option if you are in Union Station (or nearby) - the service was extremely quick and we had our apps within 10 minutes of sitting down. The food is excellent and I went for the Nashville plate, although I would caution that this is pretty spicy, and I like my spice hot. We also grabbed the cauliflower bites and fries as apps for the table and I rounded out my main with coleslaw all of which tasted fresh and had good flavours. Definitely check this place out - it's on my list to visit again and try out some of the classic sandwiches.

Saying I had a lovely time would be an understatement! Not only was the food delicious but the service here was impeccable! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Radha was our server and she was outstanding! So sweet, polite and just a joy to speak with along with everyone else who helped us! I believe we were seated by the manager or a higher up but she was such an amazing person to talk too. Only good things to say about this place and will definitely be visiting again soon! Shaya <3

One of my favourite sit down restaurants near Union station for work-related meals. It's delicious but also has a relaxed environment, and the menu can please most people. The price is also amazing for the quality and portion you get. If you have a Presto card, you can get a further 20% your bill which goes a long way. At my most recent visit, it came out to under $30 a person (including tax and tip) for a main and a beverage, in some peoples' instance. It is very hard to get that in Downtown Toronto nowadays! I've tried their fried chicken before, but I opted for their roasted chicken this time instead. The portion for the half chicken ($26) was massive and I definitely could have gotten away with the quarter! The taste was great and I appreciated the somewhat lighter meal. It looked like my coworkers enjoyed their fried chicken - the portions were so big that most of them had a takeout box full. The service was also great and we felt well taken care of during the busy lunch rush.

Hands down, THE BEST chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, but a long shot. Where do I even begin? I knew when it was brought to the table that I was in for something special. (It came VERY fast!) Just the sight of it was enough to get my salivating. Then I grabbed hold of it to snap a photo for my guys burger group chat & was immediately floored by how soft the bun was. Little did I know my mind was about to be blown again. I was baffled by how tender & juicy & flavourful the chicken was. Usually when I love a burger, I tend to just crush it in one sitting. But this was so overwhelmingly excellent, I had to put it down after a couple initial bites just to process what I was experiencing. I switched to the coleslaw & fries just to pace out the enjoyment of the sandwich. I did not want it to end!! I sat in silence just processing what I had just lovingly ingested while I tried to figure out how I was going to express my gratitude to the kitchen staff without weirding them out! Service was EXCELLENT. Three different people helped with the service, without it feeling over-the-top. Mood was almost as amazing as the food.

Quickly became our go to for Happy Hour as it's in the best location main floor Union Station. Theeee best Smoked Peach Margaritas. I had the fried chicken 🍗 with gravy dish. Was ok. Not very flavorful. Side salad was basic. Fries were good. Unfortunately it does smell like a deep fried chicken shack. Service was great if you got the right server.
