A lovely Japanese restaurant with super tasty food. We had take out one evening and ate in there another - amazing both times. The servers are very polite and friendly! Bonus they serve Asahi too which my husband was very pleased about.

Visited on a Sunday night around 10pm since it was one of the few places open – the late hours is definitely one of the key selling points. Service was also quite good despite it being so late at night – servers came by to top us up on tea quite frequently which was appreciated. Food itself was okay. Ordered the Black Dragon Roll and the Oyako Don. Both were just alright. The ratio of chicken/egg to rice was disproportionate (a lot more rice than topping). The Black Dragon was quite standard in terms of taste, with the rolls themselves being on the larger size. There are no dividers between tables so the restaurant can be quite loud depending on the other patrons.

The food is good, clean and cheap. A place for the family, and most importantly, it is traditional food. Update: The sushi I had was exceptional—beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. Each roll was perfectly crafted with generous portions of fresh fish and avocado, with a great balance of flavors and textures. A delightful sushi experience that I highly recommend!

They have good priced sushi from bento boxes to sushi boats to la carte items. We got the sashimi platter, popcorn chicken and 20 piece salmon sushi. All of their sashimi platter and boats come with the dry ice which makes it looks super cool. The quality of the sushi wasn’t the best but was pretty good for their price. Probably the one of the cheapest sushi place I’ve been to, all of our food including tax was around $80. Staff was really kind and put a candle in the wasabi as it was my birthday. Biggest down side is they are located in a bit of a sketchy area. Lots of signs in the parking lots remind customers to lock their cars.

I have been going to Umami House for years! The food is so fresh and delicious, and the presentation is beautiful. The portions are generous and they give you thick slices of sashimi. There is a cash discount, and the menu is very reasonably priced. The service is always friendly and fast. Usually it’s ready for pick-up, but I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my take-out order. Had a 12pc sushi meal. The soup and salad looked standard but actually tasted better than I expected. Nice toasty seaweed in the miso soup had good flavour and the salad dressing was creamy and not tasting of raw grated onion like other places. Very nice. Sushi was a good selection including octopus and squid, and decorated with edible flowers. Quite a nice experience. Cash discount is welcome too.
