Townhall has quickly become one of my absolute favourite local spots. It’s not just a café or a restaurant; it’s a staple in my weekly routine. I’m there at least once a week, sipping on the incredible Incline Coffee while tackling some writing or admin work. It’s the perfect blend of productivity and relaxation, and honestly, I don’t know how I’d manage without it. The main restaurant serves food that’s so good, it feels like a treat every time I eat there. But what really sets Townhall apart is how brilliantly the owners have designed it to be kid-friendly. It’s a rare gem where you don’t have to apologize for your kids being, well, kids! The atmosphere is super chill, making it a great spot for families, solo visitors, and anyone looking for a relaxed vibe. My 5-year-old son absolutely loves it. Whether he’s playing games or indulging in some well-earned ice cream. And for anyone looking to host an event, Townhall is a fantastic choice. It’s safe to say that Townhall is a true treasure on Concession Street—one I feel so lucky to have in our community.

## Townhall Social Review: A Great Concept with Room for Improvement **Concept and Atmosphere:** Townhall Social offers a unique dining experience. It's essentially a collection of multiple restaurants under one roof, similar to a food court, but with a more upscale feel. You can order from any vendor and have the food delivered to your table. There's a touchscreen menu system for easy browsing, or friendly staff can assist you. It's important to note that not all restaurants may be open during your visit. The overall atmosphere is clean and inviting. Street parking is readily available. **Service:** The staff at Townhall Social are friendly and helpful. Service is generally good, especially at the bar area if you need additional drinks or assistance. However, new diners might feel a little lost initially, as there's no explanation of the concept upon entering. **Food:** Here's a breakdown of the food experience at each vendor I tried: * **Bok Box Chicken:** This was a disappointment. The chicken sandwich was small and overpriced, and everything we ordered lacked flavour. The coleslaw presentation wasn't appealing either. * **The Salted Pig:** Their chicken sandwich was a significant improvement over Bok Box. However, the fries were not that great. * **Tuesday's Tacos:** This was another letdown. The nachos were stale, and the proteins in the tacos were too sugary or tasted old. * **Bar:** The chicken wings here were the highlight of our meal. * **Ice Cream:** The ice cream was good. Overall, the food quality was inconsistent, with some vendors excelling and others falling short. **Value:** Townhall Social's concept is interesting, but the value proposition is questionable. Since table service is minimal, tipping feels unnecessary. For the price point, the food quality needs to be more consistent. **Overall Impression:** Townhall Social has a great concept with a fun and social atmosphere. However, the inconsistent food quality across vendors and the lack of explanation for new diners bring the experience down. If the food quality improves significantly, I might consider returning. **Recommendation:** Townhall Social could be a good option for large groups with diverse tastes, as there's something for everyone. However, manage your expectations regarding food quality, and be prepared to potentially tip for minimal service.

This restaurant have 6 places in one. Brilliantly executed with the touchscreen kiosk set up at some of the stations to do self check for the food. Also have an ice cream as well as a bar area. There’s the option of being waited on or cafe style. Pickup your food and sit at a table and enjoy. The food is made fresh. That’s a bonus in my books. The wings were absolutely delicious. Made the way I like. Nice golden brown why having it extra crispy. The fish on a bun was humungous. Very tasty and crunchy without all that grease. The slaw on there was a little great addition on the bun. It brought in that fish a chips vibes on the taste buds. Very clean with variations of seatings. From booth styles to table a chair. Even bar style tables a chairs. Cafe feel on the one side while cozy booth feel on the other. Lots of outdoor lights hits the seating area. Which is fantastic while enjoying a meal. All in all no complaints. With friendly staff and good service when they are not busy. I’d say gone em a try. Keep in mind when walking in there. There’s no one to give you directions as to what is what. Hopefully this review will help you understand the dynamics of this little place. It’s self service except for 2 area. The bar and the cafe food court side. The rest it’s punch in the food item you like in the kiosk. They bring it out to you after it’s made. It’s paid street parking. Somewhat hard to get a park sometimes. That would be the only downside to eating there. As my friend got a ticket when we went back to the car. Remember to feed the meter.

If you don't like ordering by yourself at a touchscreen kiosk, you'll want to find someone to order from, or ring the bell. Not great for people that struggle with reading, but I see the desire to have a reasonable number of employees on site. Food is delicious. We got the Korean BBQ friend chicken sandwich and beef dip. The chicken sandwich was improved when some of the slaw was removed. All great flavours! Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was comfy and relaxed while being bright and clean. Lots of space makes it great for accessibility assists and strollers.

My mom and I came for The Office Trivia night at the new space Hub of the Hammer is using called the Town Hall eatery located on Concession street in Hamilton. I do wish they had parking. The street parking wasn't an issue because of the time and day but if we were visiting on a weekend or Thursday or Friday night it probably would be. This place isn't like your normal restaurant there's 4 or 5 different options within the establishment for you to eat from. So it's like a food court set up but with a full bar. They do have a standard menu and a nice variety of different beers hard liquor and wines. I decided to try the smoked barbecue chicken club minus the bacon. For my sides I had fries as well as their mac and cheese. The sandwich was very delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries were good I just didn't really care for the style of fries but they were good. The mac and cheese was also very flavourful but not creamy enough for me. I like lots of cheese and a creamy sauce but like I said it still tasted very good. The prices are definitely reasonable and they have other theme nights like Friday's is karaoke and Wednesdays they do a general trivia night with $5 tall boy beers! I will definitely be back and looking forward to trying something else off their menu!

Our first visit to Townhall was just for drinks on the cozy sidewalk patio. Many other patrons were dining, and everything we saw served up looked amazing. I'm looking forward to trying a dining experience there in the future. The patio is small, but there is plenty of space for groups, small and large indoors. Live music was on the evening we stopped by. One of my all-time favourite local brews, Dream Pop from Fairweather was available and an obvious choice for me while my partner had a cocktail. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

We went as a party of 4. I have to say I did enjoy it. It wasn't exceptional, but the Tacos were better compared to the The Mule, the burger was great, fries very good and so we had a great lunch. An enjoyable lunch with good food.

Excited for this restaurant on the street with lots of seating inside and a bit out. However, staff need more/better training and/or time to figure things out as we were waiting over an hour for our tacos the one time. (This place is still relatively new when I'm writing) We will be back as it's a good option and hoping it gets even better. Food: Fried foods seem to be the best - the chicken fingers and fish sandwich from the bar were really good. The tacos from Tuesdays were okay - would be nice to see a bit more interesting toppings. The poke bowl was a bit lack luster and would like to see a bit more for the price. Chips and guac were good. Interested to see what the wine and bread place will offer. Caesar salad has a bit too much dressing but that's just my preference, may ask for the dressing on the side next time. Family friendly and big single use washrooms and end one with change table.
