All SUSHI LOVERS 🍣....head over here for some nice sushi and a fun time when shopping at Yorkdale... Why visit: 1) Located conveniently in the Yorkdale mall next to the RH courtyard. 2) U have to hop to level 1 to be introduced to this restaurant where u get to order on the tablet and the food swooshes upto Ur table on a conveyor belt. Now how cool is that? 3) I found the place reasonable compared to Yorkdale fine dining standard 4) SINGLE PEOPLE: Good news there is space for single person dining in here. And they are treated and cared for like a big group.So...now u guys have a place to walk in happily to have a wonderful Japanese meal without feeling weird as U r dining alone. 5) Must try dishes : Salmon Aburi , lunch set that comes with miso 🍲 soup and shrimp rolls

We wanted to experience conveyor belt dining? We were not disappointed, ordering food I easy taking our time to select then the plates comes on the conveyor belt in front of our seat, We were seated side by side there was no space at the tables.Food quality is good even the portions are small they are filling, Some orders are quite pricey.

Enjoyed my experience here, definitely a unique experience with the conveyor belts! Love the seasoned rice and everything tasted great. The cranberry drink is not too sweet which I liked. Peach mule, and lychee drinks were very sweet but great! The only one we didn't like was the aburi Hokkaido scallop, it had a weird texture. Our favourites were the Tare aburi squid, aburi red prawn and o-toro.

I'm honestly shocked at how this has a 4.2 rating because it is absolutely undeserving. The food is subpar, and I think the main reason for its rating is because it's in Yorkdale. 1. The fish is not fresh. I've been here a few times and every single time, I've noticed the lack of quality in the fish. The ika isn't scored enough to compensate for the chewy texture, the ikura is soft and lacks the resistance that it should have. 2. The rice and noodles are way too soft. The rice is premixed with soy sauce, but it basically falls apart because it's cooked with too much water. The udon is mushy and lacks its signature bouncy texture. 3. Presentation wise, I found it interesting that the roll was so poorly cut. I've been to many sushi restaurants and I've never seen 3 different heights to a maki serving. I'm especially surprised because this restaurant is affiliated with Miku and Minami. 4. Our aburi sushi took 50 MINUTES to come out and it was the first thing we ordered. 5. Nothing served was actually hot. Down right to the "hot" tea. 6. No quality checks were done at our table. 7. The price is fair in general which is a good thing about this restaurant, though I'd happily pay $1-2 more at a family owned restaurant for better quality and preparation. Overall, the sushi train experience is cool? But it's more of a gimmick than anything. If you're in the area, this may be a good option if the other restaurants are busy, but keep in mind that this restaurant also has limited seating. If you're vegetarian or have kids, the menu is accommodating so that's a bonus.

The sushi were good except the squid one. Shrimp sushi was the best. Oshi are good. I loved the taste of sushi rice. The conveyor belt provides fun for kids but extra work as I need to take the sushi to my table. Washroom was clean.

Came here for lunch during a Sunday shopping trip. To start, the food is excellent. I recommend ordering the Michelin inspired dishes. I ordered the Lobster with the Uni dish. It was spectacular. Other recommendations I have is the Aburi sushi’s, can’t go wrong with any of those choices. As for the place itself, it is slightly harder to get to if you don’t know where to look. They’re located on the second floor and to get there, you’ll need to take an elevator. The elevator may be hard to spot, it’s near one of the mall entrance in a hallway. Look for the restaurant sign and a screen showcasing the restaurant. The inside has a lot of space when we came. For the service, there’s not much service to be honest. You order from the tablet on the table. The food comes to you via a “conveyor belt”. Getting the bill is also easy by hitting a button on the tablet. So I guess, great job Mr. Tablet? Overall, good place to go for sushi if you’re in Yorkdale mall.

Had a solo lunch. I was seated right away although 2 people in front of me were told there was a 10min wait. (I'm assuming because it was just me). You order through the screen and the food comes on a conveyor belt. It took a while for my food to come though maybe because they were full. But the sushi was good.

This is a unique dining experience situated inside one of Canada’s largest malls, they make fresh sushi and serve through a conveyor belt system. On our trip to Yorkdale we often stop by and have dinner here. The wait times can be long especially during weekends but their waitlist system is pretty efficient in keeping the queue organized. The servers are quick and polite, however experience may vary as our recent trip, we felt a bit rushed to eat by the servers who promptly reminded us that they were closing soon. Other than this, I would give the food here a very good score, I ordered their limited time offering of premium sushi co-created with michelin star chefs. The lobster with sea urchin was priced at 19 CAD for three servings which is a steep price but worth it to me if you want to try something new, the flavours exploded in my mouth and my mouth still waters thinking about that lobster dish! A bit salty though and I preferred to eat mine w the rice they served. The basic menu is nonetheless very good, with a more affordable price range. I highly recommend the aburi rolls, as their torched sushi satiates the craving every sushi lover has. Overall, very good experience and would keep coming back to this location.
