Tomo Sushi Richmond Hill

I know this place long long time ago but never get a chance to come. Today came here lunch with my friend, first impression was really good. Atmosphere is nice, spacious and quiet. Lots of booth settings and they also have some private room setting as well. Very nice service, servers are very attentive, keep filing is with hot tea once awhile, everyone is nice and friendly with smile. Food is better than what I expected, especially the salmon!! It’s fresh and it has salmon flavor in it. Unlike some other places, fish taste bland. Their lunch menu is very good price and good portion. Will love to try few more rolls on my next visit.

This is a Korean runs Japanese restaurant that I have been visiting for more than ten years, their Sashimi is always fresh and won't let you down. The large sashimi, sushi and maki party try is highly recommended, it is good for 4 to 5 ppl. The beef enoki mushroom roll is also very tasty. The outside of the roll is crsipy and inside is very juicy. If you plan to eat there at dinner time or weekend, a booking is must or else you need to wait at the door for quite a long time.

WOW!!! This is so incredible and Andy is an amazing hard working business owner making sure that the highest quality experience and customer service is shown! This was our first time here and it was service with a smile from the first moment we stepped into the door!! Highly recommended!! And the food is so good!!! Me and my family really enjoyed it!

Tomo has been one of our top choices for sushi. Special thanks to our outstanding waiter, Kevin. He was incredibly helpful and playful with my child, even making paper toys to keep him entertained. Kevin also shared a fantastic tip on how to judge the quality of uni: place it on the tongue and press it against the roof of the mouth to see if it melts. His knowledge and kindness made our meal truly special. The sushi is always fresh with a great variety. Highly recommend!

Came here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the food and service. The Holy Moly Roll was a standout dish. It was a California Roll with spicy mayo, tobiko, scallion, and unagi sauce, topped with seared salmon and scallops, providing a delightful textural contrast and fresh flavour. The Tomo Roll was equally tasty. It was a Dynamite Roll with the heat of spicy salmon and jalapeño, combined with the richness of eel and avocado. This added an extra layer of complexity to an already flavorful creation. Both rolls had rich flavour profiles. The rice-to-filling ratio was great, with the rice itself being on the softer and stickier side, which fits my liking. Their Shrimp Tempura was yummy too. The batter was light and crispy, and the shrimp was succulent. The presentation was also nice. The Salmon Tartare was fresh, simple but delicate. The restaurant was spacious and clean, and the service was really great. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, frequently checking on our needs with genuine smiles. Overall, I was happy about this experience. Would revisit in the near future to try other items on the menu. Nice place to catch lunch. Service was good also the sushi/ sashimi was okay. Didn’t taste the freshest, but the price point was okay as well. One favour item was the crunchy noodle soup.

A fairly unique sushi place in the GTA as they excel highly with their vast selection of fish and exceptional service -- not something you find often. I love how they have semi private seating in little rooms as it's very cozy. Everything tasted fresh and well made and the presentation was impressive too. I would come back and try the rest of their menu.
