We always come here for their Kamayan Feast (also known as "Boodle Fight"). This is the Filipino way of eating using only your fingers instead of a fork/spoon or a chopsticks. Everyone that I bring here (non-Filipinos or Filipinos alike) really enjoyed this way of eating. So kamayan is basically a communal feast where the food is laid out on a bed of banana leaves instead of plates and your eating utensils are your fingers. The food consists of unlimited garlic rice, seafood (grilled shrimp/squid/milkfish/tilapia, steamed mussels) meat (pork belly and bbq pork skewer), veggies (boiled okra/eggplant), mango salad and orange slices for dessert. The delicious food is full of Filipino flavours - salty, sweet and sour and price per person is reasonable. Staff are very nice and friendly and are always there to provide you with another serving of the garlic rice. Place is small but cozy and coming on a weekday means avoiding the craziness on a weekend visit. If you want to try ultimate finger food experience and enjoy a beautiful Filipino tradition, then Tinuno is the place to be.

My workplace just had a lunch bought from this place. Horrible portions. Idk what they’re thinking but you can’t even get enough from these. This is the best Filipino restaurant I have ever been the kamayan meal is absolutely delicious. The mix of seafood and meat is well seasoned as well as the garlic rice it is really an amazing mix 😋 the service deserves an applause as well thank you for our kind waiter who had to take care of a table of 12 ppl he was very quick patient and friendly thank you👏🏼 25$pp in toronto that is fantastic!

Relish the taste of home with good friends at Tinuno with their Kamayan feast!!! See pics! This entire feast comes with all the garlic rice you can eat. Oh and did I mention the vinegar and the soy sauce? That’s what you call sawsawan. Make sure you go there hungry!

The kamayan was probably one of the best meals I’ve had in my life! The meats and seafood were seasoned and cooked perfectly, whereas the garlic rice and veggies complimented them beautifully. The desserts were also a lovely finish to the meal. At roughly $30pp for dinner and dessert, it doesn’t get better than this.

We got the Kamayan for four people and it was delicious! Amazing portions and everything was a hit. Especially liked the fish and the pork skewers, great flavours. The mango salad was nice too. Friendly staff and good service. Looking forward to trying their breakfast options next time!

After Tala closed during COVID, they reopened under Tinuno. This is the first time I have tried traditional Filipino food that is not served on a plate. It has been a while since I had to eat with my hands and the experience was awesome. The Kamayan feast basically gives you a taste of everything, you can choose between tilapia or milk fish, we chose the milk fish because the meat is more dense. It was grilled to perfection, perfectly salted. The squid was grilled just right, tender and moist, so are the shrimps and mussels. Simple flavors, the way they should be. The pork belly and pork skewers have the basic sugar soy garlic marinate, Chinese style, perfect fat and lean ratio. I love their bottomless garlic rice, I think I had 2 refills it was so good. Small joint, I would recommend reservations, there is always a line but the turn over is fast if you decide to wait. Strongly recommended!

We had been to the other location and wanted to try this one for convenience. The last time we had this type of meal it was a great experience and the repeat presentation did not disappoint. Service was quick and friendly, and the table for 8 of us was well set up and there was plenty of food provided. Two types of fish, pork skewers, prawns, mussels, okra and eggplant, all roasted and served over delicious garlic fried rice. You could eat it with utensils if you wanted, but we made use of the gloves at the table and it felt like an authentic experience. The fish was a little too blackened so eating the skin made it a little too charcoal flavoured, but the mussels were my favourite seafood. We also ordered extra roasted pork which was probably the most delicious part of the meal and I would highly recommend it.
