I love congee so I always stop by this place when I am in town. Pretty drab atmosphere. And the service is typical chinese. But authentic flavors and big menu. Also had the chow fun noodles. I think some stir fry veggie dishes are too large (portions) and expensive for one person so hard to finish a "side" dish with the congee.

A no-nonsense congee place in a retail plaza. What this place lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in flavour, charisma, and value. The server is friendly and I got the vibe that she actually cared whether or not we enjoyed our meal, making good suggestions. The youtian the server suggested are a must with the congee, hot, crispy and a perfect companion.

I don't think I'll be eating here for a while or ever. Been getting food here since the day they opened and never disappointed, but up until now it has been somewhat unpleasant. Just finished dining in and wasn't impressed. Tables felt sticky, the menu felt sticky, the tea tasted like bleach and lastly I wasn't sure if I was supposed to eat the sweet and sour pork. It had a shrimpy taste to it which I then knew the meat wasn't fresh and was spoiled. The dumpling from the noodle soup also tasted sour which got me to think also if I should have eating it or not. I'm crossing my fingers I don't get food poisoning from this place. I wish I can say something good about this place cause I've been eating here for many years but after this experience I don't want to risk getting sick.

Old school Cantonese style restro. No frills just good food and good portions and wok hay ! I got the beef with blackbean sauce on fried rice

I bought lunch here, a two meat and rice combo. Looks great and was a heavy container of food. I think the issues I had were mostly caused by the packaging. The condensation from the lid caused all the flavour to soak into the rice, which would have been nice if it was a reasonable portion of rice but it was easily enough for three people so everything was bland. There was a bunch of cabbage in the container that was warm and wilted. The chicken balls I ordered were overcooked and chewy. This place had potential, my colleague loved her brisket noodle dish, I would eat here again, but maybe in person. The restaurant should evaluate their packaging for delivery, solely based on that, and the close to 50 dollar bill I paid. I wouldn't order take out again.

I ate here a couple of times and the food was really good BUT I was very disappointed this time when I ordered the "shredded chicken in sesame oil" dish. Most of it was bones and skin, barely any chicken meat. Threw out more than half of the dish because it was just big pieces of bones. Paid $23.50 for bones and skin is 100% definitely not worth it. Very very disappointed customer.

Great deal on some big portions authentic Cantonese food! The quality is way above the price and well deserved a 5 stars. Would recommend roast ducks and Freire chicken wings! Not the best environment but who would cares if you are here for some quality authentic Chinese food!

3 STARS! 🌟 🌟 🌟 MEDIOCRE --- Besides the really drab infrastructure / INTERIOR which is begging for some decoration and a paint job, you will notice a very cluttered hallway leading to the bathroom ~ many boxes of supplies on floor and other various items to obstruct / conjest the walkway to the facilities. What threw me off guard was the Christmas decorations which adorned the hallway and bathroom still. It's April. Even though the portion size was bigger since the last visit, the food was mediocre. Chili Chicken was desperately missing chili or some sauce. It was just Fried and very dry ~ not spicy at all. The Fried Rice was okay although the food was a bit on the salty side. Would definitely give this restaurant another chance and would most definitely recommend it for a quick bite. Can be extremely busy with the University in the area.
