The wood smoke shack

I had high hopes for this place as I've heard about it for a couple of years and finally had a chance to come out and try. Being a food enthusiast I have been around many BBQ joints. Got a brisket and chicken order. Brisket: Very fatty pieces. Had 2 separate order and all pieces full of fat. I understand some fat on a piece, but I would say almost 50 % of the meat was a waste. Never had a brisket that fatty. Not good. Sides: Coleslaw was awful. Zero flavor and huge giant pieces of cabbage chopped up very lazy. Doesn't even fit into the tiny slot on tray. Come on guys, chop it up smaller, give it some flavor. Bacon corn: Another lazy side, small portion. BBQ caviar or whatever: Small portion Beans: Small portion. No corn bread? No in house made BBQ sauce? Smoked chicken was meh. There is a room for improvement. Not sure why this place has the high ratings it has. I guess people are happy with anything that's hyped up.

We heard about this place from a friend. Went for a nice hour Sunday drive. So worth it. Food was absolutely amazing. Owner was awesome. Came over to check to make sure we enjoyed the food. The horseradish sauce on the chicken was fire. Definitely coming back.

Doesn't look like much. But when you get closer, you can smell the food and it's gonna entice you. Great friendly service, to notch smoked meats, and a reasonable price to match. We always stop here when we drive through. Highly Recommend

Fast and friendly service! Had the ribs with bacon corn and beans, absolutely delighted to have stopped along the way. If you want delicious meaty ribs, this is the place!

Out for a drive, decided to just detour around when we landed in honey wood. My partners not big on smoked food but I rather enjoy, so of course we had to stop. The food was great, he even enjoyed it. Will definitely be back.

Scott's food is absolutely amazing! Pork belly is my favourite. Been back a number of times and never been disappointed. It's one of the best BBQ I've had. Highly recommend and will be back for more soon.

I drove 3 hours each way to try some of the smoked meat that they have to offer. I had the smoked pork belly and it was outstanding! Well worth the drive and will absolutely return in the future.
