Probably the best pub in Toronto. They pour a great Guinness. The staff are very friendly, they always go the extra mile to have a chat and remember details about you. I've eaten there a few times and the food is better than I had expected as it is good value for money. If I lived a little closer it would probably become my regular.

A nice cozy spot for a pint. I ended up here after a Remembrance Day service. Staff was friendly and the food was very good. What’s interesting is you can mix and match your meal. I got a fish taco and a fried chicken slider with very good crispy fries.

One of my absolute favorite pubs, and definitely a place I miss since moving to Etobicoke. We used to visit regularly when we lived in Toronto, and it never failed to deliver. The service is always warm and friendly, making you feel right at home. The food is consistently delicious, with something for everyone on the menu. What I love most is the atmosphere—whether it’s live music or a sports event on the big screen, there’s always something going on that adds to the vibe. Last winter, we had a memorable experience after a chilly walk. We popped in to warm up, and asked for a "warm shot." They nailed it—one of the best shots I’ve had in a long time! If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a great meal, great drinks, and a cozy atmosphere.

We visited The Sheaf Tavern, after it feature on the reel of Toronto's best pubs. Warm and friendly service came to greet us out of it. We had come by around 5 PM, and the ambiance was already so inviting. Food too was equally affordable with dishes starting from 5 or 6 CAD. The food was even better than we had been expecting, while a selection of beers was pretty great, with enough variability to suit different tastes. Bands started playing there later in the evening, and pretty soon, it grew jammed with enthusiastic people. The atmosphere was just great to be around. It was well worth a visit and highly commendable for any night out in Toronto.

I had always wanted to check out Toronto oldest pub. It's exactly what you'd expect it to be, a gritty old pub, and I love it! It's a really spacious interior, so it's good for groups or people who want to sit at the bar and watch sports. A nice patio as well, right in the heart of downtown. The food was surprisingly good as well! It has a little something for everyone. I came with a couple of people for lunch and a drink. We were the only ones on the patio while a game was on, but the service was still great. Sometimes you get forgotten out there, but our server was wonderful.

My favourite pub in the city. Service second to none, especially Amanda who takes special care in making sure we are comfortable, welcome and every single need is catered to. She ensures that not only myself and the whole Aston Villa supporters club gets the best experience every single time we are there. Simply put, she’s the best! A proper pub.

Came to Toronto from New Zealand, just felt like a simple pub feed. Cool sports bar, wasnt too busy, great beers and cocktails and thrilled to be the first guy in Torontos oldest pub to have a Pickleback to Nickleback (shot of Jameson with pickle juice chaser). I got the 3 snack items for $18, so i picked cheese burger, fried chicken burger and fries with cheese and gravy, could not fault it. My wife got the same but had vege burger rather than cheese burger, she loved it. Waitress was great, could not fault the service, or the food, check it out.

Nostalgia is the name of the game! It's so cool to drink at the oldest bar in town and probably the whole country. Our bartender was awesome. They also carry a decent number of whiskeys.
