I recently went in here to have a bowl of dhal. It was so delicious. The staff members appear to be a happy team working together to provide a memorable eating experience for their patrons. I chatted with a few of the personnel here - very friendly and amiable and eager to please. Thank you for your wonderful warm hospitality. 🌹

I have been coming here with my family for years (starting with their old location a little bit up the street), and the food never fails to impress. Despite being a genuine pure vegetarian place, the food itself is amazing. Hubert is a master chef and the staff is always very nice, polite and accommodating. Highly recommended!

A waste of money. Ordered garlic naan, and got tiny store bought kulchas with some burnt garlic sprinkled on top. The Paneer Makhni is runny and is more like Kadhai paneer.

The new Udupi place looks really good. Service was excellent, the lady waiter who received us was very welcoming and nice😀. Thali was good, you get to try most south indian breakfast items. Chole Bhature is good too.

Extremely disappointing. The Mysore Masala Dosa I ordered was not crispy at all- just extremely soft. Literally zero crisp, and I have no idea why. The sambhar and chutneys were good. Edit: After having had hundreds of dosas in my life, this is the first time I’ve been asked to specify wanting the dosa to be crispy (which it originally is supposed to be) while ordering. Did the server ask me if I wanted my dosa to be crispy or not? No. Was it said anywhere on the menu I needed to specify it? No. Don’t shift the responsibility on the customer, please.

Not the best taste. But food was ok. Chola didn’t have much taste. Mysuree masala dosa was okk. Sambar could have been better, may be a little more sour. I don’t know the other dipping’s name but didn’t taste well.

We ordered south Indian thali for lunch. The food was very good, the portions were adequate as well. The curries were tasty, the sambar was yummy. The highlight of the thali was the vermicelli (dessert) . It was so tasty. There was no excess masala, the food tasted like home cooked food, which was delicious. Will order again in the future. If you want to have authentic South Indian food, this is the place!

The restaurant has moved to a new location just a little west down the street on Gerrard . It’s more compact and cozier. The food is as delicious as ever, delectable dosas, delicious snacks and a good selection of North Indian dishes…. All vegetarian and lots of vegan options . We have been coming to Udipi since 2003 and have never been disappointed either with the food or service . Hubert (owner) and his team,( Alwyn, Manish and others) always have a smile on their face and are welcoming. We had our usual, chaat papri, Ghee Masala Dosa, Ghee Paper Masala Dosa and a Neembu Soda …. All perfectly prepared and scrumptious.
