The Suya Spot in Scarborough, 269 Morningside Avenue is SIMPLY THE BEST!! Michael is an amazing person! I often have to make food for the Potluck for my students (Indian, Ghanaian, Nigerian, Persian, Filipino, Spanish, Mexican and other cultures), and The Suya Spot has ALWAYS been there for me! Puff-puff, Jollof rice, amazing Suya 😍 (I choose the goat Suya, they are all amazing), fried yam and even the traditional Ghanaian Waakye is now our household favourite and we are not Ghanaian 😄. There are various “The Suya Spot however I recommend The Suya Spot at Morningside, Scarborough! I would rate them 10/5 😄! Very well done, Michael !! Thank you for all your hard work, dedication and the lovely food. God bless you and enlarge your coast and business!!

Food 1 star, because this location is intentionally serving only bone to me. We understand that Goat meat comes with bones, but there are more than 70% of bones in 5 different orders in a row, then the evidence is clear that they know the bad things they are doing in secret. Service 1 star, because calling over the phone is the same as walking in and waiting for 1hrs. They failed to communicate among themselves about an order placed over the phone. Lack of communication messed up my order 5 times in a row. I will recommend this location when I see improvement.

I tried chicken and beef suya wrap, literally called the store to let tell them to make it spicy and creamy. There’s none of that here, instead they used cabbage to stuff it more than the protein. I had to mix a separate cream just to enjoy this mess. Ps the beef suya is hard!

Really disappointed because ive had from here before and it was great but today both chicken dishes i ordered were dry and hard. Ended up only being able to eat the rice and plantains

The service was excellent. One of the chefs kindly explaining the food to us patiently. The chicken and the beef was so tasty. The rice was also very good. We also had the suya and the plain suya tasted better than the seasoned one.

The chef took his time to explain everything, the food is phenomenal, very unique and delicious. The portions were big.. we definitely recommend this place..

I bought a Combo Egusi Soup with Pounded Yam today, July 25, 2024, and when I got home, I discovered there were only two large goat bones with very little meat on them. If there were an option to attach the picture I took of the bones, I would.

We got takeout here that served as our introduction to West African food. We loved the fufu and the egusi soup. The proteins of goat, beef, and chicken were delicious with some of the char flavour. The jollof rice was a bit dry but sauce helps with it. Staff were very nice and made fresh fufu for us. EDIT: Forgot to mention the amazing plantains
