The Owl Of Minerva

The place has lots of seating and was not busy when we ate there on a Monday night. The server, May, was attentive and did a good job. We were a bit disappointed with the limited selection of banchan dishes compared to other Korean restaurants we've visited. The garlic soy fried chicken was very good, but, in my opinion, the portion size did not match the price.

Absolutely love Owl of Minerva! But I like this place the most because it has my favorite Kamjatang RAMEN! Other places don't have it so I'm glad they do. Excuse my picture, I took it halfway through eating it haha

We ordered 2 kamjatang and japchae. Take out at 4:30pm, opened at 7pm, kamjatang smells sour, tasted bad and bubbling. What a waste of money. I called them but they said I should eat it right away. Never again to this location😠………. Of course,I need to travelled and picked up stuff, from 4:30 to 7 pm simple math. If the food is freshly cooked and in proper hot temperature and food handling it will not get bad. (Not assuming its not a leaf-over)I have a video cam in my car if you want to trace how long I travelled and as you said hot and humid, of course I on the aircon. When I open the food both of them still warm. You need to put sign in your door that all customers need to know simple scientific knowledge so the food will not get spoiled. Oh, hows the complaint from your previous customer that the kamjatang (same soup) tasted sour too? Did she call the Toronto Public Health? Just asking.

Great experience at The Owl Of Minerva! The food was delicious, especially the Bibimbap and the service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was cozy, making it the perfect spot for a night out. Highly recommend!"

I finally found the best Gamjatang restaurant. I love gamjatang. I've been to many places so far, but I think here is the best. This time, I ordered a variety of dishes which are Soondaeguk and u-dong, and LA Kalbi was surprised at how delicious they were. It's strongly I recommend it. The most important thing is that the kitchen is very clean and staffs are very nice and kind. It is a bit far from my place but worth to visit here.

I visited this restaurant with a bunch of friends. I’ve been to other locations of the Owl of Minerva before and even though the menus are all the same as they are franchises, the taste is a bit different. I love spicy foods and as you see in the picture, we ordered mostly spicy options! I want to call it, taste of Korea!! Every single dish was so delicious and I even love the side dishes too. If you want to try yummy Korean food, I strongly recommend this location! My top 2 dishes were spicy pork soontofu and soy garlic chicken!

Visited on a Tuesday evening around 7pm & it was quite busy. When we arrived, the staff asked how many & we said table for 3 but there weren’t any available tables so the lady just put her hands up and shrugged literally like this 🤷🏻‍♀️ I was a bit astonished by this action as in these scenarios, the worker would usually ask if we would be willing to wait for a table instead of shrugging. Was just looking for a quick & simple meal so we waited a couple mins. Portions are ok but the pork in the pork bone soup was really hard to get off the bone. I hate to leave negative reviews but I am always honest with my experiences and this was just my experience. I hope the service here will be improved in the future.
