The Monkey Bar
The Monkey Bar is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.
Now in its 26th year, The Monkey Bar remains North Toronto’s favorite neighborhood restaurant. Proprietor and Chef Richard Fox-Revett, formerly of The Windsor Arms Hotel, The Four Seasons Yorkville, Splendido and Centro, offers a contemporary bistro menu that includes seafood, meat, pasta, and vegetarian dishes. Many of our menu items are gluten-free and paleo-friendly. Since your dinner is cooked to order, we are able to accommodate most allergy and dietary requirements. We even offer a children’s menu. Chef Richard uses local and organic ingredients where possible, as well as sustainable seafood. Everything is prepared in-house, from soup to nuts, even the hand-cranked ice cream!

Came here today for a good friends birthday. Chris was our server. So approachable friendly and shared a lot of information. He gave great suggestions and recommendations. We got the mushroom spring rolls Grilled calamari and angel hair pasta with shrimp plus many more. Everything was delish flavourful and served steaming hot and fresh! Many thx to the staff here for making a birthday dinner one to remember

4.45 | Delicious food, awesome service, nice atmosphere. All the dishes we had were very good, including even the bread. Wait staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating of any needs (also great singers for happy birthday). Definitely recommend stopping here!

My entire dinner experience was top notch! Food very tasty and made with care. I loved the cozy vibe. Most of all the waiter went above and beyond. He is what customer service should be! Approachable, helpful, hilarious, and so much more. I felt like I knew him for years. This is also a family owned restaurant which makes it even more special. I will be back!

It is a very Interesting place. The family who knows the place are fun and dorky (in a fun way). We were a group of 5 for winterlicious and we were attended to very well. The appetizers were all delicious. For food the arctic char was really good. The walnut crusted chicken was crispy but not too flavorful. As for dessert we found thr chocolate torte dry and nothing to write home about so we suggest the sticky pudding.

Outstanding food! Great service! Small place. Busy so make a reservation and you still may have to wait a bit but well worth the wait! Back again. Another fantastic evening. The veal chop was perfect as were the veal medallions and the Eton Mess for desert! Chris looked after us and made sure we enjoyed!
