The Lounge at the Drake Hotel

Mediocre all around. Our server was so passive aggressive with us about not tipping her, telling us that she’d need to pay out of pocket to the kitchen for her tip out and that her manager will be wondering why OUR table didn’t tip. Then we saw her laughing to her coworker about our table, just making us feel unwelcomed and unappreciated. Her service was not over the top or helpful in thr least bit, we could barely hear her, and just no life to her. Overall incredibly mediocre experience here.

Female server with several tattoos asked the whole table why we didn’t tip, seconds after the last person paid for their bill. The service was slow, and the food was mediocre at best and under-seasoned, while i was pulling out cash to tip because regardless of the food quality i can respect servers time… and continued to explain that ‘management’ would be asking why we didn’t tip and how she would have to split her own tips and they “are coming out of her tips now.”, as if that isn’t standard practice for any restaurant environment. Very passive-aggressive, completely embarrassing and unprofessional. will not be returning.

Beautiful place, amazing cocktails. I tried the Late Checkout (fernet, coffee, and spices) and it was delicious! I’m definitely returning to try more.

The veggie burger and fries were really tasty and they have a good selection of beers and other drinks. The staff and service was also decent. A downside is if you're visiting with infants and need to change them. I was visiting with a baby and needed to change the baby in the accessible toilet however there was no changing table so I ended up changing my baby on the floor. Apart from that I had a nice experience here.

Well worth the price, came for brunch and ordered the French Toast, Drake Benny, huevos rancheros and smoked salmon bagel. 10/10 presentation, food was a solid 8/10 Edit, 2nd visit: had the pancakes, found them really good. Found the sweetness of whipped cream was overpowered by the maple syrup. A different condiment that contrasts the maple syrup might elevate this dish even more (Pancake score: 8.5/10)

A-MAZ-ING Restaurant! Went here for a business dinner and wow, the food was just incredible. I had the special “mussels”, Brussel sprouts and my coworkers had a selection of sushi and different deserts. Service was wonderful and drinks and food came out quick even though they were quite busy (and we were a party of 9). Very cool atmosphere and the upstairs has a cool rooftop/patio which is great for birthdays I would assume. The restaurant and hotel are not related to Drake the rapper ;)

Reuben sandwich was delicious. Service was very good. Beautiful spot. Only complaint is they do not have a handle on the yellow jackets/bees out on the patio, a bit of a nuisance. Burger and eggs Benny both enjoyed by others. On the pricier side, but tasty.

Lovely atmosphere with cute decor. Can get a bit loud as there is an event venue on the floor below. Food is delicious and well presented and prices are in line with what you'd expect with a place like this. Service for me was exceptionally slow (over an hour for main course to arrive and even slower to get our finished plates picked up). That being said, without even bringing this up to the staff, they apologized and gave us free dessert which was really nice, especially since it was unprompted. I imagine my experience is very rare and the staff's response to it is definitely a positive lasting impression.
