I really like this restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, the prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. You can enjoy a quiet meal with great lighting, providing a satisfying and comfortable experience. I will definitely come back!

We arrived (unknowingly) only 30 min before closing Sat afternoon, but they were very friendly & welcoming, and our food was as if middle-of-supper-rush - perfect. Great atmosphere & very attentive for staff that was busy tidying & restocking I’ve lived too far away for 30 years; it was great to come back in the area and find The Lancer comfy & satisfying still. Ten Stars Ladies !

Absolutely amazing food, I can not say enough about the staff and service!! Top notch in everyway, welcoming, friendly and very engaging staff. The Eggs Benedict with peameal bacon is awesome with their made from scratch hollandaise sauce is the best I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and COME HERE!!!

First time being here, so please take this at face value. It's entirely possible we caught the staff on a bad day. We arrived Friday morning around 930, it wasn't too busy. We ordered and then unfortunately waited almost an hour for our food. Nothing special was ordered - just two of the first few breakfast options on the menu. There were at least 4 tables that came in well after us and they received their food in under 20 minutes. Our waitress also asked every single table around us if they wanted more coffee, but not ours...which was a bit frustrating. The pemeal bacon was wonderful, and they did have gluten free toast which was much appreciated. The pan fried potatoes were very bland, even though the menu said they were fried with seasoning. I would have loved some hot sauce, but our waitress didn't check on us once while we were eating. I won't say I'm never going back, because again, it was our first time. I just hope future experiences for others are better.

Our latest visit was very disappointing. Been coming here since we were kids. The club sandwiches we ordered were amazing. However, the service was terrible. We were told to pick anywhere to sit and then waited. Someone finally came over to tell us that they all thought someone else had it so they were fighting over who was going to be out server. Got our coffee and food order taken no issues. Then waited for coffee refills which never happened. Finally brought us our food that day in the kitchen window for some time. Then offered us more coffee. Fries and gravy were cold from sitting there. Nobody asked us how our meals were. We waited for our bill and a takeout container for awhile. I went to the bathroom and came back and still nothing so I went and got the container myself from another server. Sat a few more minutes and then just decided to go to the cash register and get my bill and pay. I couldn't bring myself to leaving no tip. My parents raised me better than that. We will be back. We love the food. Hopefully this was just an off day for service

Just came came back from Japan and having jet-lag and not feeling well, so I came in very early and ordered "recovery meal", with Bacon and ham. Portion is not huge but I will say resonal priced, coffee is surprisingly good. Environment is good thanks to big windows. All properly cooked but today is rainy so the fries are a little bit soggy but it's due to the weather. Service was amazing. General I will say this meal is nothing wrong.

This was our first time and we loved it. My dad and I had a wonderful meal in a great atmosphere. The service was awesome. Where else in the world does "Cookie Monday" exist where free fresh cookies are brought to your table at the end of your meal?!
