The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Square One

Visited on New Years Eve and after a potentially rocky start, Manager Andrew and his staff turned it into a memorable celebration. Standout Dishes included Tuna Tartare: Absolutely delicious, Scallops: Perfectly prepared and Beef Sliders: Mouthwatering. Creme Brulee was smooth and decadent. The bartender's mixology skills shined with a superb old fashioned and a creative mai tai. Their Happy hour menu provides excellent value and taste. Andrew and server Sebastien transformed our evening, demonstrating the exceptional hospitality The Keg is known for. Their genuine effort to make my friend's birthday special truly exceeded our expectations!

The Keg has always been my favorite steakhouse, and I’ve visited countless times, but my recent experience at the Square One location was extremely disappointing. I ordered a medium-rare rib steak, but the first one was overcooked (more like medium). The staff apologized and made a new one, but the second steak was raw inside (the first photo). When I raised this issue, the dining manager, Nicole, brought the steak back to the kitchen to cook it more. However, it was still raw inside. Rather than taking ownership of the repeated mistakes, Nicole asked me, “So you want it more cooked like medium?” This felt dismissive, as if I didn’t know what a proper medium-rare steak looks like. I explained that I’ve been to The Keg many times and know exactly what to expect, but her tone suggested otherwise. She even said, “So you want a perfect medium rare,” as if I was being unreasonable for expecting the standard I’ve always received at The Keg. By the time the third steak arrived (the second photo), it still wasn’t the perfect medium-rare, but it was acceptable. After waiting 40 minutes and enduring condescending remarks, I chose not to press further. What’s even more upsetting is that other Keg locations, like the one at Heartland, have shown much better customer service. In the past, when mistakes were made, they would take the steak off the bill as a gesture of apology and sincerity. While I don’t care about the bill being adjusted, the experience here simply didn’t feel worth it. When I go to The Keg, I expect great food and excellent service to match the price I’m paying. This time, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed, like my time and money were wasted. The Keg is a restaurant I’ve always trusted and loved, but this experience at the Square One location has left me questioning whether I’ll return. I hope the management works on improving their service and ensuring customers feel valued.

We had such a wonderful time on our first visit to The Keg! The food was absolutely fabulous! My husband went for the keg classic Steak Sirloin, and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. My friend and I tried the mushroom stuffed with crab, onion rings, and the pistachio-crusted grilled salmon—oh my goodness, the salmon was so fresh and cooked to perfection! I can't recommend this place enough!

My husband and I had a lovely night at the Keg celebrating his birthday. It was our first time tasting the gruyère mushroom dip … my goodness :o it is accompanied by the most amazing bread I’ve ever had. The bread is so soft and fresh and melts in your mouth. Emma was so kind, we had a great conversation!

A great place to celebrate a special occasion. We went for Saint Valentine and it didn't disappoint. This location close to Square One also have the advantage of having a lot of free parking in the Mall's parking lot. The atmosphere is cozy and they have a very friendly service. The steakes are really good and they will prepare it exactly as you ask. they combine excellent meat options with and interesting menu of cocktails that will improve your experience even more. Highly recommended if you'd like to try a good steakhouse.

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday. The waitress was super nice and attentive. I wish I could remember her name so she gets a shout-out. The food as always was great. We decided to try the brie cranberry dish and the macaroni dish as appetizers, then our mains being a baseball steak and burger. They did not disappoint. Thanks, we will return for certain 👌🏽🙏🏽🎈🎁 I also was given a free slice of cake for my birthday 🎂😁

5/5 Stars - Exceptional Service and Delicious Food! We had an outstanding dining experience at The Keg! Our server, Sophia, was absolutely fantastic - attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. The food? Chef's kiss! Every bite was divine. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was cooked to perfection. Special mention to Jessica, who also ensured our experience was top-notch. Her kindness and warmth added to the evening. We can't wait to return! The Keg has earned loyal customers in us. Highly recommend!

What an incredible evening dining at the Keg this past Sunday, March 10th. I'll start by mentioning that the service was top-notch! We had two servers for our large party of 11, and not one item was missed. Staff were attentive and very friendly the entire night. All guests left satisfied with the food and overall pleased. I'm definitely looking forward to another visit to this location.
