The Jerk Box

Been going there off and on for many years. Can be quite busy at times. I've always enjoyed good, pleasant service from the front line ladies. Prices still represent good value even when everywhere else has been rapidly increasing prices. I think they are on par or better than some other West Indian takeouts in the city. I have a little bit of intimate knowledge of catering and the costs involved, hence the reason I say that they give reasonable value for your dollar.

I ordered two fry chicken meals on December 1st at around 7:30pm. As I was half way through my meal I found a STAPLE yes a STAPLE INSIDE MY MEAL!!! It was a good thing I was looking in my plate as I was eating how disgusting and disturbing!! I called the restaurant to let them know the lady said she’s not sure how it got in there ?? As if they don’t use staples to package they’re delivery orders 0/10 I would never buy from them again I was so turned off. I regret spending my $45 with them

Was served by Shanna today, I have food restrictions that she was helpful to avoid for me. I always look forward to seeing Debbie, her shining smile and kind words always inspire me! I keep coming back because not only is the food tasty and affordable, the customer service is amazing!!! Every time I encounter Debbie, my day is brighter! She is compassionate and kind and quickly serves with a smile. I adore her personality and look forward to seeing her again!!

I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this establishment. I was looking for a specific item, butter, beans, and salt fish , and was so happy that they had it on a Sunday Along with many other options and lunch items at 9:30 in the morning. They open at 6 AM on a Sunday and the lovely lady said that she gets there from 5 AM to help set up. It is not a fancy place but the food and service makes up for it. Definitely recommend!

Everything was good but the star of the show was the jerk pork and the chicken soup. Prices are really good and quantity is quite large for the price hence why this is such a busy little spot. Will be back to try other dishes

I must state for the most part this food is extremely delicious. I got a Jerk Chicke plate w/ Rice & Peas topped w/ Oxtail Gravy and a side of Coleslaw. The portion size of Chicken that was put on the plate was massive and well worth your money. The only downside is when i made my order i was not aware that coleslaw would already be in the plate, and the coleslaw was unfortunately not the creamy one but the pickled slaw, which wasn’t terrible and did complement the meal i just was expecting something else. I wish the lady told me there was coleslaw with the meal so i didn’t order a side of it lol but its okay. The service was not the greatest but unless you expect poor service, you won’t be disappointed. The Chicken more than made up for everything wrong i pointed out. Highly recommend this to anyone passing by, but just stop quickly and go. Don’t stay too long.

This place is a hidden gem! The ladies behind the counter are the loveliest and serve up a great meal. They always have fresh hot food ready to go. I've had almost everything on the menu and it's the best everytime. My favourite is the curried chicken and stewed chicken. Omg so good! It's reasonably priced and portions are a good value. The atmosphere can be little updated but with food so good, I have nothing bad' to say. I overlooked it. Friendly,fast and great service. I'm definitely going to return to Jerk Box. Big fan!!
