I ordered Oxtails with Gravy. I paid for tough bread, warm cola, bones, and spicy gravy. The Oxtails were all very small and there were more bones than there was meat. I was unaware that the small amount of meat and the gravy would be spicy. The bread was tough and old, and apparently, they don't refrigerate the cokes. Would not recommend.

I used to go here all the time with my brothers for some good quality Caribbean food. Seems they have gotten more popular now so the quality of the food and the size of the portions have gone down and the prices have gone up. Last time I ordered the fried chicken was still pink in the middle, there was no stew chicken and no oxtail gravy and I had to wait for dumplins to be made, I was so disappointed when I got home, I didnt even waste time and complain or ask for a refund I decided to just stop coming, you have lost a loyal customer.

The female cashier at this moment or verse rude! As a customer, I don’t memorize all the food and I need some time to figure what to order. The approach very rude, when I can my family to clarify what order they like, she’s very upset. I asked her to place another order and for some reason she didn’t hear me and don’t include on my current order. I can place another order if that’s her issue, I have money to pay, but with her behaviour like that, I can’t. She’s rude!!! She should not work in food industry if she behaves like that. I asked her if she wants to serve me and she said no so I left the place. What a day! I won’t recommend this place, If you’re looking for Carribeann foods , try other places which serves your better and nicer.

I had this tonight for dinner after hemming and hawing for literally years lol. I wish i tried them sooner. I ordered the small mixed? Chicken meal and tried their fried chicken and jerk chicken. I got plain rice with chicken curry gravy and a side salad. The fried chicken was great! So well seasoned and delicious. Nice crunchy skin too! The jerk chicken was beautiful. It was smoky and well seasoned too. I am in love. Everything was flavorful and delicious. Next time, i need to try their house made scotch bonnet pepper sauce and oxtail! The portions are big. I had leftovers! The server was really friendly and helpful. Its shocking to me that small businesses now charge less than fast food. 👀 If u guys r ever in the neighborhood, they r right next to popeyes. Eat here instead!!

Pleasantly surprised to have stumbled across some good jerk chicken (had oxtail gravy on the rice) and wow they do it good here. During the week they have a jerk 9.99 lunch special (I believe) and it is definitely good to resolve your cravings with just enough food imo. Comes with coleslaw or maybe that was an option either way it was a decent coleslaw to go with the meal. Overall pretty good I’ll def run it back when I’m in the area solid 4/5

I came to this food court to find lunch during work and found this new place. Very well priced and I was interested in something spicy - so The Islands sounded great. The sandwich was perfect so that I don’t stuff myself and can focus at work. The chicken, cole slaw and the sauces were superb. The chicken was soft and crispy (if you can understand that taste) and the sauces were super flavourful. If you can handle spice, I highly recommend the hot sauce even though it is for 50 cents, but I recommend it. Great place for a quick bite for carribean food.

Earlier today, I ordered... - a large oxtail combo (with rice/ meat packaged separately and a side of coleslaw) $22. - ackee & saltfish ( just meat) $7. My total bill came up to $33.99. The server filled the containers about 75% so I asked her to put a bit more meat and gravy. She added another piece of meat, and was told no more oxtail gravy left and closed the containers. I told her this is the 3rd time I'm coming by in the last 2 weeks, ordered oxtail with something else each time but this is the least amount I have ever gotten, and each time have been charged different price for the oxtail. Apparently, it just looks less without the gravy and because I asked for the meat to be separated from the rice; otherwise same amount. And if I had gotten more last time, then I got lucky. So, I asked how much it would cost if I ordered a large oxtail (just meat)? $15. So, it is $7 more for the combo with rice and a side of coleslaw? Are you kidding me? I asked for a refund. Then, I ordered the oxtail and ackee&saltfish (just meat), paid total $24.25. Overall, the food tastes good but I don't think I would be returning anytime soon due to the inconsistent pricing and quantity, and poor customer service. ----- Dear Owner, Thanks but no thanks. After this unfortunate incident, I had another one - which is getting my refund for the initial purchase - it took a month! The person I spoke with was kind enough; however, after 5 calls (which by the way, I initiated each time), a runaround, and a month of waiting, I don't think I'll be returning. What really sucks? I like your food and location is very convenient to me.

Great food. I’ve been waiting for some good Caribbean cooking in the area. This spot is the best out of the ones in this area. Food is seasoned and spicy enough but not to kick you in the face. Rice is not dry like other places. They aren’t cheap with the sauces. Go for oxtail gravy. Lunch special is $8 all in. I went for the jerk chicken got 2 drums and a small thigh with rice and gravy plus coleslaw. Post COVID. Go support a local small business in this food court.
