5 Stars❣️ I had the chance to visit The Heartbreak Chef at Kensington, and it was an unforgettable experience! First, the packaging immediately caught my eye – a simple brown bag, adorned with a charming hand-drawn broken heart and a sweet "Thank you!" message. It set the tone for what was about to be a fantastic meal. I ordered the Big Ass Mac,and when I opened the container, I was blown away by the portion size and presentation. The crispy fried chicken pieces on top were seasoned to perfection, crunchy on the outside but juicy and tender inside. The mac and cheese beneath was creamy, cheesy, and delicious. The balance between the rich, hearty mac and the crispy chicken was chef’s kiss. The green onions on top added the perfect touch of freshness to the whole dish. The Heartbreak Chef knows comfort food like no other. This was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a while, and I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend if you're in Kensington!

Welcoming, and great cooking! The chicken was delish. So much food, I wimped out and got the half ass, but the chef added a side of the Mac and cheese! Yum!!!

I had the "dutty chicken sandwhich"; had a robust jerk chicken seasoning, fried excellently, and a sweetness from the pineapple to contrast. They ran out of the wedges and there was a small mixup with my drink which was absolutely no problem for me but they gave me a Mac n cheese on the house. Nothing but hospitality and kindness from the staff. It may be intimidating to new customers with the loud music but don't be shy! The playlist is great anyways. I think this is a great place to appreciate Caribbean food/ culture so core to the identity of Toronto right in Kensington market to boot.

We were roaming kensington for places to eat and happened to walk by the heartbreak chef. The guy working was very social and made us feel welcome. The food didn’t take long at all and was sooo good i fell in love. 10/10 would def recommend if ur in the mood for a burger. The music was right up my alley as well.
